9 females, all mine! They seem like healthy, young adults.
Just curious, who should be in the cage first, females, or male? And in the case of the little cage, I'm going to have 1 female in with 1 male, should I just put her in or what? Or should I just split them 4/5 and leave 1 male alone?

I think it works better letting the males "set up shop" for a day in the new cage before you add the females. He'll mark the place like crazy and make it smell like him. That way the females will be the ones out of their element when you introduce them and they won't be likely to attack the male as he is not an "intruder".

Oh crap. Ok so can I put the male into one cage for a day then move all females over, and in a few days split the females up? It makes most sense to me. I think I will keep the third male as a pet though.

Ok, so you ONLY have these 3 bins to use with the mice? You will want some extras in the future so that you can separate out the male and female weanlings at 4 weeks and any other issues where you may need to quarantine. I don't know if it's such a big deal that you need to shuffle them around this way. Just making a suggestion based on what I had read. You may be able to easily split them up into their groups with no issues.

I am going to be buying bins. but I'm almost skeptical about them even breeding. I'll get more bins once babies are born.

I hear that! I think mine may all die of URIs before I see any pups! *sigh*
Just out of curiosity, what method are you using to alter the bins for ventilation?

The bins I bought have little holes in the handholds, good enough for ventilation. So I didnt need to drill any. But if they didnt, I would drill holes right along the top of the bin. Or right in the middle of the lid. But I like to stack them, so the top of the sides would work best.
