I got hearts and gizzards, both chicken ones. and liver and chicken wings, the wings are a hit BTW! and also a cornish game hen. they love the bones and was wondering because my mom was disquisted by all the stuff, how can I keep every thing clean? I bleached everything and you cant even tell that I did it, but what else? the only thing she hates is preparing it. what should I do? and how should I convert them to prey? cut it open? ???they love meat.

First, I use a cleaver and a pair of kitchen shears for most of the meat with bone. Cuts clean through cornish hen and chicken! For cleaning the cutting board, I scrub it with salt, then rinse really well. Bleach mix on the counter. For whole prey, start with chopped up pinkies, work up to whole ones, then larger.

I use vinegar and water, and peroxide if I'm really worried about bacteria. I don't like bleach as it's not particularly good for the ferrets. It's been proven (the thread is somewhere around here) that this combination is actually more effective than any bleach you can use. ciao

Don't mix them in one bottle though. You spray one and then the other on the surface you want to clean, doesn't matter which one you use first... I'm not sure if you wipe in between, I think you may want them to combine on the surface.

Whooa....I hadn't thought about being specific...I'm bad Please don't combine the vinegar and the peroxide. It doesn't matter which one you wipe with first but you spray one, wipe and then spray the other and finish wiping. Sorry You can try them with pinky mice at that point it's just another form of meat. If you want them to hunt try something like hoppers, the hoppers activity level seems to entice them to hunt and then they just eat what they've killed (hopefully ) ciao

Yes, you are supposed to spray one then the other THEN wipe it away, its the reaction of the combining that cleans, just dont combine them in a bottle as they CO2 builds up.
