Is goose ok to feed on a regular basis? (2-4 times a week) I imagine it to be quite fatty but it also has quite a bit of protein in it ? I am trying to help some people get their ferrets onto raw but they dont want to feed store-bought meats and so getting things from local farmers and/or farm shops is costing alot of money so I thought as they have the land they could raise geese as they are extremely cheap to raise (if not, free) and so if it can be fed on a regular basis would be suitable for them along side whole rabbit and rat?

I see no reason it wouldn't be. Sure it is probably a bit higher in fat but ferrets do need more then other animals do. Most people feed chicken that often, and as long as you feed at least 2 other kinds of meat you'll be fine.

My guys love it...I don't feed it that often but it seems to go over very well. It is indeed fatty and I usually trim off some of the more heavy pieces of fat, especially along the spine and back. The bone is a bit harder for them to make use of though. ciao
