I heard someone say before that puppy/dog feet smell like Fritos (the chips). I thought they were nuts  until I smelled some dog/puppy feet and they really DID smell like fritos  Well when someone told me that ferret tails smell like grape soda, I thought they were nuts......but sure enough when I smelled my ferrets tails they DID smell kinda like grape soda! Smell your ferret(s) tail(s)! Do they smell like grape soda, or are my ferrets just weird? |

I heard that before, & I didn't believe it til I smelled it! It's strongest when they wake up, & if you smell them around the back of their neck, they smell like cornchips! =)

Grape soda or corn chips thats what they smell like to me, i just wished they tasted like them.

I haven't smelt ferret tails..
But dogs feet are NACHOS! We've known for a LONG time.. But me, my cousin and my sister always joke about nachos and salsa. Poor Skipper Steven's feet smelt like bleachy nachos when he came here from the shelter.
AND!!! Did you know, that apparently dogs smell more nachoy when they sleep.... And it makes you sleepy when you cuddle them.
Tessa Sue smells like a nacho all over, though.

Yep, ferret tails smell like grape soda, Their feet are slightly nachoy. What I first read this thread it was very late at night I kept reading tails as nails  |

I've had this conversation somewhere else before I don't think any of my dogs' feet smelled, though. Maybe it's a raw thing? I dunno. I'll smell again if I think about it and report back. Same with them ferts, but it'll be a few weeks until I see them still. |

So weird! I have two ferrets that I am switching to raw from kibble and two whole prey fed ferrets. ALL of them have grape soda smelling tails. I guess diet doesnt have anything to do with the grape soda smell.
