I currently only have one. This is tattooed on my right, inner wrist:
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Its about that same size too. I plan to get a tattoo of Lugnut and Hendrix (my first two ferrets) on the top of my left foot (yes, I know it will hurt like hell lol). So, anyone else got some tats?

meli, it's definitely considered bad luck/a superstition in the tattoo world. Silly, but true. Try for the date you guys got married in chinese characters or something instead, not quite as superstitious as his name, and just as meaningful. Besides, depending on his name it can be very hard to find characters with the correct sounds that have flattering/appropriate meanings. I'm a former Japanese language major and the Kanji characters they use, they baaaaasically stole from the Chinese so I'm familiar with trying to find suitable Kanji translations of European names. It took me FOREVER to find something for my first name (Jessika) that didn't mean something along the lines of "flowery pure wisdom rainbow" or something equally sappy like that, which is very much not at all in keeping with my character As for my tattoos, I don't actually have any yet, but have several planned, including the date my future hubby and I met in Kanji down either my right or left side, a large pen and ink/portrait style octopus on my lower back (my forum name, tako, means octopus in Japanese), a red and black stylized fox between my shoulder blades and few others. I'm starting to feel a little silly posting in all these non-ferret related parts of the forum, because I feel a bit like an intruder without ferrets to share!!

Meli doesnt have ferrets yet either You are more then welcome to post here. Heck even if you never got a ferret, you would still be welcome to lurk the forum and post in the Odds and Ends section and the other non-ferret related sections. I lurk on a labrador forum......but I dont have a lab .......anymore My ex-b/f had a lab and I posted on there when I was with him. When we broke up, I no longer had a lab but I was still welcome on the forum. I dont post too much there, but I visit all the time.

so cool GIULI! i want 1 corinthians 1:9 tattooed... i don't know where but it will happen one day. i also want to get the AMERICAN FERRET ASSOCIATION logo tattooed on me too. i hate needles too so i don't know how i'm going to do it. Suprisingly, it wasnt bad at all (and I hate needles. I almost have a phobia!). It just stung a little, promise. I went and got it by myself (with no family/friends present). It was very empowering and it was so fun. The verses are from the bible and this is what they say: Love is always patient and kind, It is never jealous, Love is never boastful nor conceided, It is never rude or selfish, It does not take offense, It is not resentful, Love takes no pleasure in other peoples sins, but delights in the truth, It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure, Whatever comes... Love does not come to an end. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 I got it on my wrist (a visible place that I see everyday) because it is a reminder to me of how to treat people. I didnt used to be very kind (to my family, my ex-boyfriend, etc) after getting my tat, I look at my wrist several times a day and it reminds me how to treat my family, friends, and boyfriend. Its a really powerful reminder. The font is simple, and its a small tat (easily covered by a watch strap), but its so meaningful to me. I can't wait to get my next tat! I will be getting it in Sept after HF opens and I have my B-day (Sept 1). It will be this picture (just the ferrets, not the rug): but the tatoo artist will modify the design a bit. He's going to add color so that the ferts look like my first two ferrets (that I had to rehome): Lugnut and Hendrix. He's then going to tattoo a pretty L and H onto each of the bodies. I want it on top of my left foot, but I dont know if the design will come out clear enough. If it doesnt fit on the top of my foot it will either go on my left ankle or on my upper left shoulder. We'll see. Its true what they say though, tats are addicting (like ferrets!) you cant have just one! I want to be sure I only get meaningful stuff. I wait atleast a year in between tats so that I can mull things over. I also try and put it in a place that can easily be hidden (my foot with a shoe; my wrist with a watch strap). I dont want to ruin career ops because of my body art. I'll stick with smaller sized, more meaningful tats, but I thing some people's large tats look pretty neat. Thats just not my thing though

I have 9 tats. They're all in places easily concealed, and most can be shown off without wearing skimpy clothes. Only one of them actually means something, and that's on my left shoulder blade, its the capricorn goat-fish thing with my daughter's name on it (Anya). I still like all of them though, even my poor deformed pooh-bear, that was my first tat (he got misshapen and stretch-marked through two pregnancies). I've also been pierced 7 times (tongue, belly button two separate times, nipples each two separate times), and also 3 in each ear, although I rarely wear more than the bottom hole.
I have a pic somewhere of all my tats, but I can't find it at the moment....

ooooh so cool! yes definately keep your eyes on your "beauty marks" as my bf calls them. i had 2 removed for something i can't even pronounce! haha. ANYWYAZZZ! your tats are way cool! i couldn't get them that far up on my neck though, with the spinal bones and such sticking out. i'd have to be Drinking something i couldn't pronounce before ever doing that. lol but yours look AMAZING! and your son did a good job taking those pics as well!

Fun seeing everyone's tattoos! I really want one but have been too much of a chicken to get one so far LOL I would like to get some version of this picture tattoo on me: I LOVE the picture, have wanted a Belgian tattoo and my "kennel name" (for breeding dogs, the name that all dogs from my breeding have in their registered name) is Aleron which means "winged" so a flying dog is very appropriate Plus it is Jagger and he is an "all time favorite" dog of mine. But I'm still too much of a chicken!

Honestly, I am the BIGGEST baby when it comes to pain. when I got my wrist tat it didnt hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. It just felt like a cat scratching at sunburned skin (if that makes any sense).
