Milk bones and pig ears won't be good for your ferret. I wouldn't suggest any sort of raw hide dog chews because IF your ferret chews them it can cause a blockage. Your ferret most likely won't even know what to do with it.
I'd recommend Dogswell and Catswell treats for ferrets. They make chicken, duck, and turkey treats that have very little ingredients and they are mostly meat. They have a jerky like texture so your ferret will spend some time chewing on them. My ferrets love them!
Also, don't buy the dogswell treats that are have apple, banana, or other fruit chunks. You ferret doesn't need fruit.
As for dog toys for ferrets, my ferrets love mini tennis balls and anything that squeaks. Just make sure to check the toys daily for holes, broken parts, etc.

Dogswell makes all their treats in China. I won't buy anything from China, especially with all the recent scares.
Primal makes dried chicken jerky that's antibiotic and hormone free, as well as other dry roasted treats. My fuzzies also like Wellness Pure Rewards. the PoGos freeze dried treats, and Zuke's Z-Filets.

I use dehydrated liver treats (drs.foster and smith) in lamb, chicken and beef. I also give them dehydrated meat strips (drs. forster and smith), they come in all flavors (all meat based only) duck, chicken, etc... these are all great natural and safe ferret treats.
If you want to get really unique with treats, if you go to hare-today.com they have dehydrated goat, rabbit, ect... and also dehydrated rabbit ears which are all healthy and great ferret treats as well!

My kids like Dogswell and Catswell, Whole Life (lamb & salmon are favorites) as well as Stella and Chewy's Carnivore Crunch and Carnivore Kisses, Pogos, etc. I've seen the Zuke's before but was apprehensive, can you list the ingredients for me savage?

The Z Filets are not a treat I give on a regular basis, since they have a bit of rice and maple syrup. I give things like the PoGos and the Primal for that. The Z Filets, since they're a little sugary, are more of a super high reward treat for things like getting Vivi to come out from under the couch. The texture makes them easy to break apart, and the fuzzies go absolutely bonkers for them. Beef ingredients: Beef, Rice Flour, Maple Syrup, Garlic Powder, Salt, Phosphoric Acid, Sorbic Acid (a preservative), Mixed Tocopherol.

>I use dehydrated liver treats (drs.foster and smith) in lamb, chicken and beef. I saw those at Dr. Foster and Smith. Skylar just won me a 300.00 gift certificate from Foster and Smith in the December photo contest. www.drsfostersmith.com/general.cfm?gid=873I was trying to decided if the kids would like those. Maybe I will get a package of them. Pogos, six of my kids will not touch this product. (mouse/rabbit) Jesse James tried the mouse pogo, he got so sick that he vomit up the product. I felt so sorry for him.... I never even open the rabbit. I gave that away.

Wenmister, that's awesome! I'm glad to know somebody I "know" won! I wish I had been one of the people that got to sort through all the photos.
My boys are big fans of the Liver Bites too (the dog version Liver Snax is the same, just different package). They all enjoy the dehydrated meat treats like Fillets and Disks as well, but I'm not sure I'd buy a whole jar without already knowing how they feel about crunchy treats, like the Dingo jerky ferret ones. Two of mine love the fish treats and Shrimp Snappies, and the other takes them to the litter box and leaves them, just to make a point.
