So, I know that if you bath your ferret often it will secrete even more oils and smell yada yada, BUT what if you just let them play in water? Like let them have a swimming adventure. Does it also have the same result?

No. It's when you add the shampoo that the oils start to overproduce. You strip the oils from their skin with shampoo, so they make up for it  Plain water doesn't have that effect. |
