Grr. I made a post yesterday but computer died before I actually posted, so it all got erased.
I mixed the last of the livers container (mostly blood) with cut chicken and pork. Weasel's been eating that for the past couple of days, along with a chicken leg bone.
Yesterday we got Weasel a brother- a stocky DEW named Slinky about the same age. Slinky (a shelter baby) is currently eating a mixture of Eagle Pack Holistic Select Ferret Formula and Muzuri. When we got him home last night we first gave both ferrets their separate food in separate bowls. When Weasel started eating Slinky's kibble, I just stirred the kibble into the meaty mix so they could both eat from a big bowl together. Weasel, of course, ate like a pig. Slinky picked at the food, eating tiny pieces of kibble at a time. Of course, I'll be slowly switching Slinky to natural too.

LOL! Slinky's new forever home is with us, of course I've been wanted to get Weasel a sibling for months (so he's not lonely when I'm at school), and finally got the money from my school grant Oh, added pics in the pic section. hehe.

Honestly, it's hard to tell. With both of them eating from the same bowl.. I've seen Slinky eat some kibble earlier, so at least he's eating something..

This morning I made a soupier mix (with more water) of Slinky's kibble and Weasel's meaty mix. Slinky ate much better this morning than yesterday. Still think he's only eating kibble though. Next time I'll cut the meat even smaller for mixing (of course, leaving big chunks for Weasel to pull out). Should I fill out a survey for Slinky? Guess this thread will be for both of them to keep it simple

Sounds good what type of meat are you putting in the mix? he might just not like chicken

Also since weasel made the switch ,ike a champ why dont you try just taking slinky's kibble away for a while and trying out the soupie/raw mix.

I didn't give any dry kibble yesterday. The soupy mix (breakfast and lunch) was water, kibble, liver/blood, chicken pieces, and pork pieces. Once when Slinky ate, he pulled out a chunk of meat and ate it behind the heater. For supper, I gave them a beef neck bone. Today I'll probably give them chicken or pork. Should've got boneless beef since there's no way to cut the neck piece down. They ate next to each other yesterday, but they also wake up a different times and eat as well.

Slinky ate the soupy mix pretty good yesterday. He's adjusting well, I think. Oh goodness- both of them have those eyes "pick me up, mommy", "can I out of my room, mom"? Can-not-resist. OMG, they were so loud last night though. I go in there to lay down and they decide its tussle time. A ball of wrestling fuzzies runs across my face as I'm trying to sleep. Don't give large bones at night either. Each time Weasel dropped the beef neck bone in his bucket/den, I heard a loud bang. *sigh* They will be eating cornish game hen and pork for breakfast today. Weasel already ate, so when Slinky wakes up to eat, I'll put him in the cage with the meat and see how he does with it. Here's yesterday's lunch:

Earlier, offered the plain raw cornish game hen and pork. Weasel scarfed it down; Slinky wouldn't eat it. I later sprinkled crushed kibble on the meat for Slinky. Weasel took off with the biggest piece (greedy pig!); Slinky carried a piece into the cage (and dropped it in the litter box). After that I threw out the entire litter box, sprayed and wiped the cage down, laid newspaper down where litter box used to be, and locked Slinky in there with the food bowl (even took the biggest piece from Weasel's stash). He didn't eat any of it- just went to sleep, so later today when Weasel was asleep, I chopped some c.g.h. and pork and added warm water and kibble. Slinky ate this pretty good, then went back to sleep.

Slinky's eating how Weasel was in the very beginning- only as a soupy mix with kibble. Weasel's being a pig. Maybe he sees how Slinky is bulkier and is trying to catch up. Weasel's eating pretty good during his feedings. I've tried separating them to eat so Weasel won't take Slinky's food, but then he won't eat anyways. Yesterday I just had separate food bowls for them, plain raw for Weasel and the soupy mix for Slinky. Weasel still eats Slinky's food when he wants and Slinky won't touch the plain raw. They did eat over half of the plain raw and over half of the soupy mix last night though.
