Sounds like a plan. You have to make sure that everyone gets enough food. There is always going to be waste, you get get around that. It's part of the equation ciao

Tonight the weasels had 6 oz of cut up chicken breast. Are you sure they eat that much? I swear it looked like a ton of meat. It ended being a full chicken breast. They didn't finish so I'm going to keep it in there to finish off.

Did you see who ate what? It's one of the problems of feeding larger businesses. Especially, when you have sick ferts who will go into seizures if food isn't accessible. If they go too long without food, they will get nauseaus and refuse to eat. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy then.....they then go into seizures. It's a cycle they cannot stop by themselves. Have they never had breast meat served to them in this manner? ciao

The weasels have a bowl of kibble untill they are not fully switched. ^.^ I dont want anyone to crash on me.
So far...Tulia, pixie, jack ate a few nibbles, and swiper. I don't think they were really into it so I will try again when I take away their food for a few hrs.

So question-> Could I also had a dog onto this thread? My 45 lb pit bull, min pin, something else mix eats raw with gustee. I gave his beef neck and he just was in heaven. How many lbs a day would a 45 lb dog eat? Also-> what kind of menu should he get? Simba is fit with very little fat but also has too much muscel for his body shape. He's like a bull body with short min pin legs. So he has knee's that move, and always is limping if he does something stupid like jump off my bed, trip, and fall on his face... Weasels tonight are trying a chicken liver, hamburger meat, egg puree. Hopefully it goes well. I sorted out all of my meat into 6 oz bags. This one is a little less due to me cooking some in the micro wave. The weasels hate when it gets cooked.

Your dog needs to consume about 2% of his desired body weight. You're going to use the same principles as you do for the ferrets. You need muscle meat, bone (consumable), organs, veggie matter (or not) Because of your dog's physical structure you're going to want to keep him on the thin side. His legs won't take any added weight. You may find that the weasel have runny stools today if they consume their dinner as it is. I personally would add some bone to days when you add liver to their diet. Just an observation rather than an actual 'you must do this" Let me know how it goes ciao

The faces they gave me when I sweared on them was HILARIOUS. I think lelloo hates me for life. She won't even acknoledge that I'm in the room anymore. I can't feed liver by itself because they won't touch it. But I will try to feed a chicken wing next time. Update-> They no likey. lol I think they are being newbies all over again

I feed the liver with other meats too, I only have about 2 or 3 of them who will actually eat liver by itself. I just make sure that I feed bone with that mixture so that I don't get the dark runny stools that usually come with eating a meal of organ meats . She won't be mad at you forever ciao

update-> Bear was gnawing delicatly on a bone today when I offered it. Woot!!!!!
So out of 10 only 1 is not eating atleast some raw. Monster even gnawed on the chicken bone I offered. He tried to run off with it. lol
Is it normal for a ferret to take on raw instantly? Tulia is already eating bone and anything I give her. I've had her for...3 months.

It's uncommon but not unheard of. I had a pair that I rescued. They were starved, I picked them up on Sunday. They had no food, none. So I went out and bought some high end kibbles , as they hadn't been fed since Tuesday. It made them sick, they were used to eating garbage . They were roaming with the rest of the furkids and then just helped themselves to the raw food along with everyone else. So, by Wednesday they were completly switched over. Less than 4 days, switched themselves, I never did anything. They were about 5 and 7 yrs of age. It doesn't happen often but it does happen. That's great, you're still getting progress and the you've almost got the whole business eating raw. ciao
