it seems as though frida still is on edge about eating it. I might have to cut the chicken and kibble coat some for her. Everyone else is loving it.

Well Frida still is put off by the raw meat more than the others. They all seem very excited whenever we bring food over. They have a tendancy to fight a little over it when it is food time. I grabbed some chicken wings at the store... what would be the best way to section it?

Is Frida eating well??
I know this seems generic but this is how I recommend splitting up a wing. Get a chicken wing and some meat shears. Cut the wing at all 3 joints, you can then cut the tip into 2 or 3 sections. Take the "flat" section of the wing and cut it in half LEGNTH wise, you will then have 2 sections with bones. Cut each of those sections into two or three pieces then cut the drumette into two or three.

yeah frida is eating well... we have started to feed her on her own just to make sure she is eating. I have started to grind up chicken breast and mix a little bit of kibble powder in. She loves that. My bf had just put the chicken wing in the cage and they went after that. He didn't split it up at all but they still went after it. Almost all of it is gone. When we let them out of the cage last night Aiko stayed inside just chewing on what was left of the bone.

Well then, asisde from Frida once you have the boys and Aiko eating 3 varietys of meat and some organ we can review your menu and graduate them. They can graduate before Frida since she is a bit slower.

so far the boys and aiko have had chicken (some with bone) as well as some beef chunks. Have not tried any organ meat for them yet. Frida is still sticking to the ground chicken with some kibble mixed in.

I have now gotten the other three to also give a try to pork chunks. Frida is still being very very picky. we have started putting her in a separate cage so that she has access to the food and does not have to worry about the others stealing it from her.

Stealing food has also been an issue here. Lilly is so tiny that the boys steal from here without worry, she's learnt to stay to the side and wait until they've eaten a bit before she tries eating.
How'd they like the pork??

They liked it. They also have tried and enjoyed gizzards. Gizzards cause them to somewhat start fighting over the chunks. Frida is doing better We have gottn her to eat small chunks of chicken, sometimes we have to add a bit of ground kibble for her to go near it but we are going little by little.

Gizzards are always a really big hit around here, they had some lastnight actually!! I'm glad Frida is doing better.
Have you been able to try organ yet?

just put in some chicken livers and so far they all seem to be interested. Frida is the only one who hasnt started testing it. She has however tried some pork chunks so we are going to put some in her little sleep/eat area later.

Gave them chunks of pork yesterday and they all went over and started chomping away. Frida was even interested in it although she was somewhat hesitant to go and battle with the others for a chunk. When they were all chowing down we gave Frida a chunk. She sniffed it and started to lick it. Slowly when she recognized the taste she started to bite into is on the edge a tiny bit. When the others finished theirs they started to come after Frida and her chunk of pork. Aiko was being a bit rough with Frida and all Aiko would want to do is hide the chunk for later. We separated them and then when everyone started coming right near Frida she started getting defensive and hissing and making a sound my boyfriend and I consider similar to a bark. They all seemed to learn after that sound that Frida should not be messed with while trying to eat.

Are the chicken livers that you get packed in a tub with the bloody looking water? If so you can try mixing some of that in with some ground chicken or turkey for Frida, start out with a very small ammount of the juice and see how it goes.
It is soooo cool that they are taking to everything so well.

i think they were although they seemed slightly frozen when i first opened up the container. Frida is starting to get more interested in the different foods we put in. They seem like trying to head out of the cage with some food and try to stash it in the living room.
