I am a tattoo girl. I love tattoos and I currently have five of them. For me, tattoos have to mean something and I always get tattoos for a specific reason. Since my back tattoo will take a long time to save up for and plan, I've decided to focus on my smaller tattoo plans. One tattoo I really want to get is something that deals with ferrets. I tend to like gray scale only tattoos, no color, but color is something I can figure out later. I'm looking for some ideas for a ferret tattoo. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you thought of ferret paw prints? I've seen rat foot print tattoos and they're cute!

Would you do the outline only or shading as well? Would you like it realistic or imaginative (cartoon or artsy)? Please post any pics if they are the shape, color, or silhouette of what you want. On this link, someone designed ferret art for ID tags.. the ferrets at top of post look really good.. something similar would probably look really good as a tattoo (with or without shading/color): forum.ferret.com/tm.asp?m=82331The artist Jasmine Becket-Griffith also paints very nice ferret art. Here's some examples of her work and more can be found on her website or by google search: www.etsy.com/search_results_shop.php?search_type=user_shop_ttt_id_40064&search_query=ferretGoogle ferret tattoo and that will also pull up a few ideas. Hope this helps- good luck!

I want a tattoo that portrays all four of my furkids. The problem is I can't get them to sit still long enough to get a good photo to use as a color reference. I don't like cartoonish tats, so realistic or artsy is best. Thanks for the links. I really like the way the ferrets look in the first link. They are not too cartoony but realistic enough for me to like.

you could always catch each ferret in his or her favorit position and than let the tatoo artist draw them all together. I did that with my pawprint since i couldn't find the right picture.

I love to draw, especially ferrets right now. I posted some of my art in my scrapbooking thread up in ferret stuff for sale (as well as my avatar) if you want to check it out. I also like to do more realistic sketches, but I haven't taken the time to scan any in. I had an idea for a tribal style ferret, but I think the post-it note got lost when I moved back to Ohio.
