I bought this a while back for the fuzzies, before I knew much about them, and I'm not sure if its appropriate or not. www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753646I imagined I could put treats and things inside the coconut bottom and let them bat the hanging pieces around, but now I'm paranoid. Is something like that okay to have hanging in their cage? I really want more cage toys for them, but I'm so paranoid about leaving things alone in there. They have tons of cat, dog, and ferret toys to play with outside the cage (they get about 5 hours of out of cage time daily, more on the days I don't work), but I worry about them being bored while we're working. I'd prefer hanging toys if anyone has suggestions- they still like to poop in one corner in front of their water, and anything not attached to the cage seems like it ends up poopy.

Is anybody a chewer? I think a coconut piece getting broken off and swallowed is what might worry me. Mine have always loved rope toys, but I never leave them in the cage because I'm afraid someone will try to eat the string after they unravel it. I don't trust the ferrets nearly as far as I could throw one... I did have an acrylic bird toy hanging for awhile. I'm not positive they played with it much, but they would definitely bump into it a lot when wrestling around, and the bell kinda drove me nuts. I should just start putting it up while I'm out of the house. preview.tinyurl.com/8826a6
