Has anybody else fed these to ferrets? Yesterday I got an order for cockroaches as I breed them for lizards so I brought the ferrets in like I usually do then went to work trying to all the nymph cockroaches and put them into a livefood tub, well one hopped out of the tub and fell to the floor and before I could pick it up Gimdli was chomping on it and started begging for more so (after asking my mate if it was alright) I fed some to the other ferts and I have some of the extra adult males (these are hardly ever order so I am over-run with them) in a seperate tub now for treats for the ferrets. So, another treat for the ferrets, but it was pretty weird watching them eat it because they took the back shell off, the scratched all the insides out, ate them and left the skeleton. Not very nice but I guess they thought otherwise

I haven't tried them with my kids (I guess that's good, means my apartment is clean!) but I bet they'd go over well with Diesel at least. Sounds messy though!

Yeah in future they ferrets will be put in tubs to eat them lol. I am pretty glad they like them though as they are much nicer then crickets and locusts. Cockraoches dont stink, bite, fly, hop, climb, need alot of floor space, nor do they cost alot to keep. And if they escape (luckily I have never had an escapee apart from that one wich was quickly dealt with by the magic Gimdli ) they dont live long at all as they are tropical animals. I used to have a few madigascan hissing cockroaches that were class room pets and they used to come out and my brother would handle them, was pretty funny to watch really lol.

I guess in comparison to some prey items, they really are the most benign hahaha!
