Bandit eating all by himself

We've had Bandit for less than 24 hours and he is eating his raw all by himself. The food is pretty chunky so I don't want to say it's soup but it's not whole raw either. The first time we fed him we had to feed him by hand. The 2nd time it was half and half. He'd lose interest pretty fast if he wasn't being held but the 3rd time was the charm! Here's some video.

We just had dinner and Bandit did great. He ate everything we gave and even wanted more. Dad got livers from the store so Ryan put some on his plate (she didn't cut it up though) and he gave it a try. I think we need to cut it up for him though.







After he licked his plate clean we got more and added some liver on it and he liked it!


Damien on the other hand looks like this when it's dinner time

congrats on Bandit ~~ its nice when they eat on there own with to much of a fuss Damien just wants to give you a hard time he knows he must be the 1 to hold out and get all that specail attention

This is totally off subject but anyone care to guess on ages? They seem much more "babyish" to me than Taz does.

I was just going to ask what their ages are, haha! I wouldn't be able to give you a guess without meeting them in person, but your vet may be able to give you an age range. Take a look at their teeth. Do you see any tartar building up? Most ferrets will get dirty teeth as they age, but lucky for us raw feeders, eating bone will prevent and REMOVE build up!

BTW I LOVE the photos. Bandit is BEAUTIFUL and Damien looks like my old man Ernie, who was hand fed like that for a few months.... stubborn little sh*t!
