I bought a few of these for my ferret, Frank. He absolutely ADORES them! So far I've seen them at Petsmart and Walmart. They are designed to inspire the hunting instinct in cats. They make a realistic mouse squeak when you shake them. MouseHunterâ„¢Shake y'r Tail Featherâ„¢There are a few other versions on their website www.playnsqueak.com/products.htmlThey cost from $3 - $7 There are other brands that make them also, I just can't find any online. Frank eats mostly frozen prey and we give him a live mouse about every 4 weeks. So he definitely has the hunting instinct. The only downside so far is that my ferret chews through the fabric after about a week, and the sound box inside usually falls out, but you can easily take the sound box and sew it into another toy or just buy some felt and make a more robust version.

I had one of the mouse toys i would recommend close supervision when they play with it. One of my kids ate the ears and tail off and i did not realize it until i saw something strange in the poop box, i had to go trough all the litter boxes poop by poop until i was sure it all came out.

Yeah, I have two of these and it's Fern's favorite toys! When buying it, just inspect the toy to see if there are any fabrics that can be eaten. I cut all the small pieces like ears and tails etc.

I have a couple of these types of toys made by Savvy Tabby. The Peep 'n Squeak Mouse, the Chip 'n Chirp feather ball, and the Jungle Jabber bouncy toy. My ferts LOVE THEM. Roscoe carries around the feather ball absolutely everywhere, and falls asleep with it on the floor sometimes. Its his favourite toy ever.

I just bought the mouse with the wand attached so they can chase it. All of them go nuts over it but Mr. Bean I think because he is deaf. He always looks so oblivious to the world. Rolo loves it the most. She started dooking like crazy as soon as she heard it.
I bought them something else but I won't post about it till I see them play with it. Which reminds me I forgot to look for a hanging door toy like sherry has.
