Ok, so I was wondering if it is ok to feed just adult mice along with raw meat? Or do I still need to feed the ferrets different ages with the raw meat? Thanks!

Variety is key, so if you are ONLY feeding adult mice, you'd need to include a fair amount of variety with the raw meat. Ideally, the best way to feed a raw/whole prey diet is to include a variety of prey and prey ages, and a variety of meats.

Ok thank you! If I feed chicken, turkey, pork, and mice of different ages would that be ok? Also how many adult mice and how much baby mice should I feed a week? Sorry about all the questions!

I give pinkie's and baby mice as treats once or twice a week never as a meal. I feed whole prey 2 to 3 x's a week when I feed mice Hershy will eat 1.5 adult mice per meal and JD will 2 adult mice per meal and they are given 2 meals a day. and I balance the rest of the week with RAW which consist of diffent types of meats , I feed differnt them most I give the percentages daily rather then on a weekly basis as to not throw off the balance of the hole prey feeding , for example this morning they got chunks of beef meat with beef liver hidden in it. and tonight they will get chicken kneck and a chicken thigh so they have ofal, rmb and muscle meat. and tomorrow will be hole prey day it will be rats because they had mice on Sunday. basical they get hole prey every other day for me its just easer to insurre they get the best balance I can give them and 1 day a week they basicaly fast and are given freeze dried. I am just giving you 1 example on how you can feed whole prey and raw together as for how many days a week you can feed mice it realy depends on what you want to do . Could be 1 day a week 2 days a week and so on . whole prey can be expensive so i guess it realy depends on your rescorces and buget . I did a big order on rodent pro with many differnt ages and types of prey but not everybody has the freezer space or the money to do big orders it took me a few months of planning to do it. hope some of this helps and I didnt confuse you too much  |
