I had that cage.. personally i think it a piece of junk. My girl fi had real issues with giving it up after she lost her sister and her friend bugs. She would freak out in any other cage. Anyway i had 3 housed in that cage..and my other 4 in another cage..they once all went in that cage and were sleeping on one level.. it snapped under their weight so i had to get an new cage and it was only a few months old! and i dont think the bars are sturdy at all.. mine could squeeze out and from the weight of them in the hammocks the top bars started to weaken mine use to get their feet stuck it the sides between the shelf and the cage.. and that cage is a pain to clean and someone else with that cage the ferret got its head stuck between the bars. I think its a cage suited for 1 -3 ferrets. But even then i don't recommend it. I have many cages from the super pet, to marshall cages and even martian cages. i recently got a 3 level fn and nothing compares to it But you know what works for your babies and what fits your budget...

I have that one and honestly, I would rather have an FN. The top door seems flimsy to me, maybe it's just me but it does. I also have trouble setting up bedding and it's a pain to tear down and clean. It's a nice cage looks wise but in other ways I despise it. Once I get an FN I believe that this cage would however be good for a hospital/quarantine cage.

I had the purple and green ferret eater too and I hated it !! the clips on the shelves broke easy .Hershy would squeese between the doors and escape the cage . And its such a big pain to clean it . The FN was the best money I spent . When I first got the FN I set it up next to the old cage and let them decide which cage the ywanted to be in and with in a week they never went back into the old purple and green cage. So I donated it to the SPCA ..

looks comfy with all the bedding I can say would def go with the ferret nation, your kids might enjoy this one, bc thats what they know, but i am sure they woud just go wild over fn bc its much roomier! gosh you'd love it its such a breeze to clean compared to that. I have had my share of super pets, the metal went to scraps and the bottoms i used flipped them over to make ferret hide aways. I love my fn! they are really the greatest.

If you like that cage, keep it. People piss on non-FN too much, but we have had lots of different cages, and all worked great for different reasons. There is nothing wrong with your cage. The ferrets approve, isn't that reason enough?

I don't really think that people are "pissing" on non-FN cages so much as using simple common sense. FN cages are spacious, easy to clean, well made and not that pricey on top of it.
I don't think any of us own stock in the company so it is likely that if a cage came along that was similar in the above ways (not saying it has to be exactly like a FN just not a cramped little piece of junk that breaks your back along with your bank account) I think that people would be willing to try it. However there is NOTHING comparable to a FN on the market.
Most of us have learned that the hard way...I know I did. Between the cost of my brats original Marchiano cage ($199) and the vet bills incurred because of it ($700) my babies could have had 3 3-level FN's.
Buying cages like Super Pet and Marchiano is a complete waste of money, time and energy.

I had a Super Pet cage that Bartleby lived in alone for a while. I found it easier to clean than the FN is. It may be because there was only one ferret, but it may also be my cleaning methods. I had a rounded corner litter box, and it fit in and out of the door easily. We have about 2 other cages here and 1 in Chicago still, and I like them all. They are different sizes, different levels of ease to clean, but they all have pluses and minuses to them, and I like them all.

The main thing with cages like Super pets is that the bars and flemsy and they have plastic shelves and plastic trays.. Its not hard plastic either. I have a super pet as a travel cage and I hate it.. Lily can squeeze out of the bars and where it has been used so much the bars no longer snap into the tray like they should.. I know of a couple ferrets that figured out how to open super pet cages.. And you are really limited as to what you can do with bedding.. The ramps are flemsy, too... In the ones that even have ramps. For the record, I don't even own a ferret nation.. But I'd love to have one.

I have that exact cage currently for my two ferrets. The fact that it rolls is cool, but it is very difficult to break down and clean. Also, I have had it for only about 8 months and the shelves are already bending badly. I am currently planning on building a custom cage that is much bigger. The SuperPet cage isn't horrible, I just don't think it's worth the money I paid for it. Ignorance definately isn't turning out to bliss for me.

I have the same cage for Wubzy. She loves it! There's plenty of room for her (she free roams in our bedroom during the day) and I haven't had any problems with it at all. To each their own.

That was Izzy's first cage, and I really did love it. One of the ramps broke and I had to hot glue it, then when another one started to break I started looking for replacement parts - then saw that I could get a gently used FN for only $140 so I took a shot, and I don't know why I waited so long! I love the pics, and how the cages are set up!
