So my furbabies are eating EVO cat, Nature's Variety Instincts Rabbit and a bit of Ziwipeak daily cat cusine. I got 2 packages from Ziwipeak because they first time I requested it didn't confirm on the next page after i clicked enter that it worked. So I have been adding the cat cusine with the kibble since it is air dried raw meat and very healthy. They love this stuff. The store I got the Nature's Variety from also sells Ziwipeak and I was amazed how much food comes in one of those little bags. If I just added 25% of it to my kibble mix it would last a couple months. So Along with the food samples I got treat samples. Mr. Bean took to them after offering them to him 3 times and Loki accepted them a couple weeks after realzing Mr. Bean loved them and she had been eating the same stuff in her food bowl. Rolo used to spit them out if I put them in her mouth and now she will go stash them but not eat them yet. Their instincts are kicking in with this stuff. I give them weekly soupies that have varying ingredients. Most of the time the base is a kibble mush mixed with 3 teaspoons olive oil (1 teaspoon each) I used Nupro supplement but ran out. I just got a package in the mail from wysong I didn't ask for so I am replacing the Nupro with Archetype because they sent me feline/ canine and ferret so I have 2 bags. I will also put meat drippings in the soup when I am making hamburger helper or tacos. I also set aside a a tablespoon of uncooked meat to put in the soupies. When I make chicken I will cut up some peices tiny and put in the soup as well. Loki and Mr. Bean have been getting this look on their face when they come across a chunk and will run away from the food bowl to eat it. Rolo will eat it but she sits at the food bowl. So I wanting to supplement their diet even futhure. I am able to do whole prey once a month. Maybe more if I start a small breeding colanie which is possible because we have an extra 10 gallon tank and 2 of those large plastic critter keepers. I would have to research into that more before I jumped in and did it. So until then how would I got about getting them to where they will eat chicken wings because I would like to give them chicken wings once a week for their teeth and jaws and what not. I am wondering how I would go about doing this since I still plan on feeding kibble. With the mice it would be easier because all I do is not feed them for about 5 hours before I offer them the mice and them after they get done eating put the reglar food back and they eat when they are hungry.

I am not sure what stage you are at or if they eat any raw meats on there but if they do you could always feed them raw as a meal in the morning or night and give them kiblle for the rest of the day or night. for a example . Morning give a small amount of kibble , late afternoon take away the kibble at night give them raw mix it up 1 night rmb (wings ,necks , backs) 1 night meat chunks , 1 night ofal . as a example. inbetween meals you can feed duck soup . adventually you find they will not eat much kibble and will wait for the raw and duck soups to fill up on .
if you dont want to do that much raw feeding you can also feed RAW just a couple days a week in place of kibble..

I'd suggest getting a mentor to help bring you to the point where supplemental is readily accepted. Like Frank said, there are so many options and ways to do supplemental raw and you can easily make a schedule that works for you.

I agree with ST. A mentor could really help set up a schedule for supplemental feeding, if that's what you want to do.

I was going to get some mice today but the card was declined because of monthly maintence fee (its a walmart debit card) I got some small rats for my snake and some crickets for the tarantulas. Well the snake only ate one rat. I put together a temp home for the one she didnt eat and decided to handle it and see how it acts because i have never gave a rat a chance to be social with me because they are just food. This particular rat is the sweetest food ever. I let him crawl all over me for hours. I have this shirt with a pouch like a hoodie pouch and he slept in there forever. So anyways Loki woke up (she is my oldest btw) and i let her smell the rat through the bars to see if she was interested. What does she do? She grabs his tail and trys to run away with him. He screamed and I put him away. I let Loki out and she tried everything to get to him. Climbed allover me and smelled everything. I think she is going to be my mouse tail floss user. I am bringing him back to the pet store tomorrow, I will get some a pinkie and some hopper mice and see what happens. I'll try the pinkie first. I'll try whole prey supplemental feeding first. then I think I will replace a regular weekly soupie with some raw mixed in and slowly up the raw until the eat wings once a week. I remember how I am supposed to switch them completely.

Good idea on taking him back to the pet store. I couldn't feed anything I'd been lovin' on either

"I give them weekly soupies that have varying ingredients. Most of the time the base is a kibble mush mixed with 3 teaspoons olive oil (1 teaspoon each) ..."
There are lots of raw soup mixes available. Since they are already getting kibble, you mght want to expand their horizons by not making a soup out of kibble.
Try * Pingford's Porridge (www.pingfordsporridge.com) * AFS Sprinkles (available at http://www.CaseysHiddenPantry.com) * Moistened AFS Patties (available at http://www.CaseysHiddenPantry.com) * Moistened Stella an Chewy Patties (available at http://www.CaseysHiddenPantry.com)
You can mix and match. You can also add baby food, canned cat food, meat juices, meat chunks, etc to these soups, as you have been doing. The products listed above (except the PP) are 100% balanced meals so you can feel confident knowing that if they fill up on the soupie, then they still have 100% nutrition.
