$25 later and I came home with:
chicken necks quail eggs 6 quail pork kidney duckling gizzards beef tongue beef lips
Has anyone ever fed beef lips before? It looks like it's going to be tough, lean meat kind of like tongue.
Also available at the market, but didn't buy:
pork brains (is this a good idea?) goat heads bull testicles and thingy duck heads every animals' feet you can imagine oxtail tripe, tripe, more tripe pork uterus
Any thoughts on any of this?

Really? We can't use the correct terminology for the male anatomy? Is that to be funny or to keep the forum "clean"?

Really? We can't use the correct terminology for the male anatomy? Is that to be funny or to keep the forum "clean"? LOL that is an auto filter on the forum. It just does that by itself, I don't know how to disable it. I can't tell you how many times i've tried to write something and its change my word to "girl thingy" I gotta find a way to turn that darn thing off! If anyone knows how please let me know! Anywho......all the things listed above are just fine. Dunno about the lips and uterus, but I'm sure those are find in moderation.

Hahaha I'm rolling over laughing here too. That's a hilarious filter...!
Good find though Luci! It makes me wish I lived in a more urban area where I might have access to an Asian market. I suppose I could make a trip to Boston to check out Chinatown there.

Oh how silly! Now we have to type "pen15" in code to thwart proboards?
Cut up the beef lips tonight. It is quite tough. A lot like tongue. It takes a lot of chewing. So far the cats totally loved it. I'm not sure if the ferrets have tried their serving yet. Nearly 2lbs for $2.95. It looks totally gross. There are spiny things on it.

I don't have any previous experience with pork brains. IMO they should be just fine, in moderation of course. The goal of the raw diet is to replicate a WHOLE animal (over the course of approx 1 week or 1 day---depending on the method you are using). So you wouldnt feed a butt-load of brains, because if a ferret was eating mice, they'd only be getting a small amount of brains per serving. Same goes for liver, kidney, etc. I would feed a small "thumb sized" (or even smaller) portion of brain to your ferrets 1x per week on "organ meat day".
