Due to Boris's problem with chicken, I've been tweaking their diet. Rabbit with bone in- bone, muscle, or both? I'm getting them onto larger pieces of meat, so they are going to be getting one thing in a day, ie: Monday is pork chunk day, Tuesday is turkey/duck neck day, etc. So for the rabbit, since I buy it the carcass, unfortunately minus head and fur, what would I class it as?

I don't usually sweat it I just feed it I class it as rmb...raw meat and bones. If they eat all the bones...fantastic. Remember it balance over time...they only way you can screw that up is to feed the same thing for months at a time . Are you feeding the rabbit in the all together or are you cutting it up? Are you actually going to be selecting chunks of meat without bone included? I personally would quarter it (as there's no head and fur included) and just feed it that way...but I don't know exactly where you're at in your switching. You would understand that better than I as to what your ferret's capacity is . My guys would eat the rabbit cut into quarters (in fact that's how I feed rabbit, unless it's be preground with bone and offal included). Just my take on it ciao

Up to the last week or so, they've been getting all their meat, bones included, cut up into approx. 1X2 inch pieces. Lately, I've been cutting them larger. With all the new meat I get, they are going to be getting quarters and the like! Whether they like it or not And due to Lucrezia's penchant for stashing constantly, instead of eating, they are going to be eating in their cage from now on!

Awww poor babies....locked up for dinner I give my guys their rmb's at night before I go to bed...unfortunately...they usually save some for the next day and it still finds it's way around the house What can you do....it's all about living with ferrets. The ultimate...finding a headless rat stashed in my headboard Felt like something out of the Godfather ciao
