Well Yesterday I gave the kiddies ground turkey and NV mixed in the morning and Ground turkey and NV not mixed in the evening. They did not touch any of the mix in the morning and in the evening they ate one NV. I'm not sure if they are just turned off by the turkey because they have never had it before. I think next time I do the turkey and NV I will just add a little bit of turkey and work our way up. This morning I gave them a chicken thigh. They are really working on that right now.

They might have been turned off by the turkey if they have never had it before. Try giving them a mix like you mentioned. Also they might have been having an off day. I know that everyonce in a while mine will not eat or even turn their noses up on stuff they love

Yesterday I gave them chicken thighs. They ate every bite of it. Katara had a bit of a hacking/coughing fit yesterday. I posted a reply in one of the health questions. She seems to be fine now. It is hard to see how much she is eating when I am at work and hubby is out with the kids. She is drinking. The only time I saw her use the potty (in my kitchen!) she peed quite a bit but just a little bit of poo. That may have been because they didn't eat much the day before.

Yesterday hubby gave them some NV again and again they wouldn't eat it. I want them to eat it so they have the variety and the bone in it. I guess I will still give it to them and they can eat it or go hungry. Bones have been getting a bit better not that they are refusing to eat the NV. They are just getting more hungry I guess. Today is wings so they will be happy with that.

My guys can be picky sometimes. I use the "eat this for dinner or the next meal is breakfast" mentality and it usually works just fine, of course, never let them go more then 24 hours without eating. I am happy to hear that they are doing well with the bones. I am very proud of how far they have come.

Yea they do great with any kind of chicken and liver but any of the NV or ground turkey they want to have nothing to do with. They had rock hen yesterday and I only found a few shards of bone this morning. I have not tried them on the pork yet but plan on it tomorrow. Today is liver & eggs.

Sorry it has been a few days we had a busy holiday weekend! My parents took care of the furbuts while we went camping. They ate what they were given (my parents didn't know what was in each baggie). Today I going to give pork again so I can see how it goes. I think they are doing good on the bones seeing that a few weeks ago they wouldn't eat them at all. They are eating more of the NV now.
I will update you on the pork later today or tomorrow.
Take care ~Stacy

Pork is going over great. Today was going to be liver but I did not realise I was out. So today they got the back bone and rib section of a rock hen. They ate it great. Ribs were gone and so was the back bone. They left a few small pieces but not much at all. I like the rock hens a lot better because they are so much smaller. I can get them at walmart for like $1.50 each an that is about 2 days worth of meals. I am going to try the turkey tomorrow to see how it goes.
Take care ~Stacy

The turkey went over good! They are getting quite a variety now so I'm not sure what else I need to do? I know they need to eat more bone but I can't help that.
What they are eating: Liver (beef & chicken) raw eggs Thighs Wings rock/ cornish game hens for the most part any chicken ground turkey NV Venison NV Lamb Pork some beef but not much a meat ball mix that has a mix of meat
once money is better I plan on ordering some things off the Internet but until then this is it. Is there any thing else that I can get to help them along? I'm just not sure what else to do to get them moving forward to graduating.
Thanks Stacy

I am VERY happy with all the variety they are getting. Just post a "sample weekly feeding schedule" for me (so I can get an idea of how much meat/bone/organ) you are feeding and then you'll be ready to graduate

They eat twice a day. Once in the morning once at night. Most of the time I can get 4 meals out of the rock hens. When I don't I do an extra day of wings. The NV & ground meat I try to alternate by the week. Some times they get turkey and venison other times they will get veal and meatball mix. Monday: Liver & eggs Tuesday: Rock Hen Wednesday: NV & Ground meat w/ egg shell Thursday: Wings Friday: Thighs w/ bone Saturday: Pork Sunday: Rock hen or wings ~Stacy
