All you have to do is remember that it's a treat and it's processed and cooked. I've heard that some people actually feed it on occasion. The sodium is really much too high in my opinion but as a treat, why not Offer them a flake or two. I have a couple who like to have a cocktail shrimp once in awhile...sure it's not a habit. Porthos used to love a piece of cheese, it did horrible things to his poopies (bright orange) but it was only an occasional thing. It's rather like would you deny yourself a piece of gum or a candy....some would others wouldn't . Loki is my chocolate addict (really bad, he was raised on cocoa puffs ) I found him sitting on my husbands lap sharing a chocolate chip muffin...so your tuna can't be all bad I don't need to be told that this was not a good thing, dh got an earful. He knows better but it was a couple of crumbs here and there and he looked really cute and he begged for it...you know the usual shmuck. It then was.... it was a guy thing...he shut up when I mentioned something about vet bills ciao

haha, they didn't want any anyway so i was kinda like "that's okay, it's high in sodium"..though i heard one time someone offering octopus sashimi to their kids and they loved it b/c the rubbery texture of octopus. my kids love rubbery...but i can't afford sashimi..haha!

Did your kids like the calamari Pogos? I bet those are kind of rubbery too... never tried them because I'm thalassaphobic and even food for the fuzzies made from things that live in the ocean weirds me out... but maybe it'd be worth a try!!!

my kids would not touch the pogo's calamari even with olive oil on them they wont go near it . but they love fish oil and ravage hole smelts and sardines ! I have some macreal in the freezer which is high in oils that I caught in september I am going to try and see if the will like them as a treat once in a great while.
