I came across a neat-o discovery and wanted to share it with all those who feed RAW food with NO whole prey. The one key thing your ferret misses out on when you feed a raw diet, devoid of whole prey, is fur. Now I know you are probably like, huh? So what? Well fur is actually really important in the diet, it is a source of insoluable fiber, it helps to (naturally) clear the intestines, and it also reduces the risk (suprisingly) of the ferret getting hairballs from its own fur. If you feed a raw diet and you'd like a way to include fur into the diet, without having to feed "food with a face" then check out these dehydrated rabbit ears from hare today, gone tommorow: www.hare-today.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=104If you'd like to add in fur into the diet, you can add in a little bit of fur daily, or you can feed it a few times per week. These rabbit ears make perfect treats and chew toys for ferrets. Any ferret that has a tendency to chew on *fabric* will go BONKERS for these ears. Its not ESSENTIAL that you include fur in your ferret's raw diet, but if you truely want to "replicate whole prey" as much as possible, it might be a smart idea. Enjoy

I wish! Given where I live, it definitely wouldn't be cost effective!
