  Ok so last night I put the ferrets back in their cage and head upstairs to do paper work. My step-sons g/f a while later went downstairs to get something to drink and she comes walking up the steps holding Riely. Im sitting there looking at him thinking to myself I know I counted 9 ferrets in the cage but have had a lot on my mind and was tired so figured ok i could have miss counted. I went and put Riely back in the cage did a quick count and there were 9 ferrets in the cage. So this morning after i get up I call hubby (he leaves house 2 hours before i get up) and he goes you didnt put all the ferrets away last night. I was like what??!!?? He goes i found Riely asleep in the couch he came out when i was drinking my coffee. Now at this point I KNOW i put him back. So i go back downstairs and check the cage tired as i am i dont see anything wrong. All ferrets are in their cage and i go get breakast for the kids. All of a sudden my 5 year old is yelling mommy riely is trying to get my cereal. So at this point i am like WT*. I put him back in the cage and go searching. At no point did hubby or i check the tubing conecting the two cages. well the dog must have gotton between the two cages and pushed are enough to disconnect the two tubes. I was glad to find the problem and know that i was not losing my mind.

good thing that you were there, too! Now you know another item to ferret proof when leaving.

I would have gone insane too! Haha! Whenever that happens to me I am like "what the heck is going on?" Hahahaha! Thanks for sharing your story, it made me laugh, and I needed that today  |

I was surpriesed that Hydra did not jump out too--she is normaly the one that figures stuff like that out. Now that I sit here I am laughing too it was funny. Would have been funnier if it was someone else.
