Hi, my name's Amanda and I have three ferrets, two gibs and one jill. I got them all from a rescue about a month and a half ago. They are my first ferrets but I am completely in love with them!
They are currently on kibble but I've got some pinkies on the way! Also, I've given them duck soup and they love it!
This forum has been a great source of information, thank you so much!
Emma = albino thingy = pole cat Dom = Sandy/grey

Hello and welcome Amanda and fuzzies This is a fantastically friendly group so feel free to ask questions post inputs and just prowl and read. I will second the request for photos, we just have to see you little furbabies. You don't mention how old your furbabies are?? That will have some bearing on how quickly they will sidle up to the trough and dump that kibbles stuff If you need a casual hand switching just post in the general nutritional questions section, if you think you need a shoulder to cry on (we've all been there at some point in time ) you can sign up for the mentoring program. Either way I hope I will be seeing you around. ciao

Thank you so much for the great welcome! charmantpapillon - the link that you sent me to the forms seems to be broken, is there another one? Heather - I got mine from the RSPCA and they said that they're all about three years old. However, from what I read about how to age a ferret, I think that Emma at least is a bit older, as does the vet, which is where she is at the moment.

the vet just called, she said that it's an infection that Emma's had since before I got her. They're going to try another antibiotic and give her an anti inflammatory injection and see how she is tomorrow! Best news so far! Fingers crossed!

Just a general infection, or an infection of a specific part of the body? Hopefully she is feeling better soon. Poor baby.
