I was thinking of starting a feeder business. I would start local and maybe expand into shipping. Here is a list of what I'm thinking of producing for people who keep exotics and feed raw/whole prey diets to their exotics, dogs, and cats.
Rats Mice Hamsters African Soft Furred Rats Gerbils Rabbits Guinea Pigs Crickets Mealworms Superworms Waxworms Feeder Roaches
Would anyone be interested in this? I am in the process of expanding my rat colony and starting a mouse colony. I'm also currently working on mealworms and will be starting superworms soon.

Actually to tell you the truth, my fiance and were thinking about it. I've never shipped anything in my life, so I'd have to see what it would be like shipping to Canada. Does Rodentpro say why they won't ship to Canada?

We picked up some new breeders today to get this little operation up and going. We picked up a female rat, 3 female mice, a female gerbil, and a male gerbil. Sometime in the next month or two I will be expanding the rat colony, mouse colony, getting hamsters, and expanding the gerbils.

I've never been in contact with them as they specifically state that they won't ship up here so there never seemed to be a point to inquire. I would guess that shipping this far away might be too problematic and the further they have to ship the more chance they have of having the foods thaw out before it gets to it's destination. Of course I have no idea as to what complications might be incurred trying to ship these things across borders....knowing the powers that be they probably would want all the food inoculated against rabies or something ciao

Probably, but we shall see what happens. It would probably be a bit more expensive to ship to Canada, but not impossible.
