That's so cool. I can't wait till I can get mine to do that (although Bandit might be willing to give it a go).

Their carnivores! Wow, cool, thanks for posting. I'm mestupidcat on youtube (left you a rating). I wanted to pet Kiwi when I saw him/her *weasel nuzzles* Really educational though. Makes me really consider live prey (cause I'm a scaredy cat- if I had to finish it off). Seeing it clearly makes me think. Did they eat the mice entirely or what was left of them?
*hugs fuzzies again*

Apple ate the head and tail and feet of one mouse, Kiwi ate the feet of one mouse. I stuck their bodies in the freezer and I plan on cutting them up and feeding them in a soup later this week. I don't want to waste the mice! That was $3! Also, the smallest mice they had, so I gotta use them so they know that they should be eating the whole thing. I was pretty surprised Apple ate the head though, didn't see that coming.

Wow. Again. Thanks for sharing. That's pretty cool. Do you use the same materials for your ferrets as yourself (knives, storage containers, fridge/freezer)? Thanks for the friend invite

OK, so I tried to cut up the mice yesterday for a soupie and I almost threw up. So no, not doing that again. I use kitchen shears to cut up the meats. I also have a Magic Bullet that I use solely for their food. Which kinda stinks because what if I want to make a milk shake? I can't get the blade lid/rim completely clean of raw meat, so thats never going to work until I can find a spare blade somewhere. But yeah, I stabbed them with my forks without really thinking about that. I do use the same containers as I use for myself for their food. The mice I stuck back in the cardboard box I got them with at the petstore. Otherwise I mix up their soups and food in normal tupperware containers.

Ok. Thank you. I was wondering if that was ok (to use the same storage containers and utensils for both people and ferrets). I assumed it was ok since its all raw meat like chicken. But mice would be another story. Oh, I read somewhere its not as bad if you cut the mice frozen.. maybe it would be slightly less gross if they were somewhat solid? Could you maybe find an extra blade online? Hmm... Thanks for sharing though
