Why don't you use the bathtub and then disenfect after use? It's a real easy clean Quite a few use it for their canned hunts, not really messy as it all can be washed very easily. Just a thought ciao

first use a saucer or shallow bowl then under them you can get cheap place mats put them on the cage shelves then when finished with the food just remove them and wash them with soap and water, or you can make a feeding den with a plastic storage bin they are easy to clean to. another thing is cardboard boxes the soda 12 pack boxes work great , just throw them away after a couple of feedings when they start to get nasty.

The rubbermaid tub should work fine. Only feed one ferret at a time in there, they may not eat in there together. A feeding den is preferred so you can make it dark because they usually prefer to eat in the dark.
You could clean it out with a 50/50 vinegar and water mix after both have finished eating. That should be good enough. Then maybe once a week you could bleach the container.
