I was approached last weekend by a member of the ferret.com forum about taking in her two fuzzies. She didn't want to post them on the craigslist for fear they would be resold, and she wanted them to have a good home. So, she contacted me....and I who can't say no, said yes. These ferrets made a 9 hour journey to me this afternoon. Their names are Mia and Watson, but I may be changing it to Wyatt and Izzy....at least on this forum. I don't want to hurt her feelings if she checks my posts on the other forum to find I have changed her baby's names. My life is sooo confusing! They came with everything! I mean, I have never seen so much stuff for two ferrets. Beds, hammocks, bowls, food, toys...and a FN 142 that I now have to attach to my 3 story FN. Needless to say, my banner will have to be updated at some point (sorry Velvet!) Their diet is currently Marshalls, and 8-1 premium , this will have to change soon! Sooo, I am starting over from square one for Mia (Izzy) and Watson (Wyatt)!

Hey, my mom doesn't live with me, hasn't in years and she flipped her wig when my business got over 6 (it's now at 14). She now will not set foot in my house You go girl, these little ones need homes and who's going to give them homes?? We do We just can't turn away a furbaby in need. I might add that with each new furbaby that comes through your door the easier it gets to switch them. The rest of the business helps with the switch. As long as they're getting along with the rest of the business they will follow leads and will try the raw food because everyone else is eating it. Loki switched that way, I never even had to try with him....Odin and Thor (who were turned in with him, both intact males, already had a good idea about raw feeding) They just walked up to the bowl and helped themselves, if they ate it then he figured it must be good. This was a boy who was fed cocoa puffs as his dinner Good luck and thank you for opening up your home to another set of fuzzies in need ciao

Congratulations, and good luck to all of you! And if your mom can't see what a loving heart you have, then that's her problem. Kudos!

I'z gotz picturez!!! This is Wyatt (or watson). He's a big, looong ferret whose favorite toy is a small plastic baby cellphone toy. He likes the music, and kept me up last night with it. This is Izzy (or mia). She looks very similar to Piper, and is also deaf. She loves getting hugs and giving nibbles and kisses! I've started the switch to raw with them, but am only on the soupie stage. It's slow going at the moment, but we'll get there!

They are adorable, Jaycee! So does the old owner know you are switching them to a more natural diet?

Yes....she asked when we were making ferret introductions after she drove 9 hours. The topic of diet just didn't come up. To be honest with you, I was a bit skeptical that she would even come...9 hours is quite a long drive. At first she seemed a little put off by the idea, but then she quickly stated that her two ferrets had been known to catch and kill kittens around her house (she let them free roam outside in the country! I could never be so brave!). So...if they caught and killed kittens, they probably would have eaten them...thus she was ok with the raw diet. I even showed her Jetta and muscular and sleek furred she was. I think that impressed her a bit. ...I am keeping them away from our cats, however!

Luckily, my kitties learned a long time ago that they didn't stand a chance against my ferret force. They steer clear. Waaaaayyyyy clear!!!
