Hi there. My name is Morgan and I'm a member over at www.ferretvillage.org. I live in South Georgia. I have four fabulous ferrets: Daemeon (a 4 yr old DEW gib), Salem (a 4 1/2 yr old silver sprite), Gwendolyn(a 1 1/2 yr old dark sable sprite), and Evelyn(a 6 month old hooded sable sprite). I also have several other animals(2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 rats, fish). I'm joining because I have an interest in learning about raw/whole prey diets. I already give my kids raw chicken necks and legs, which only two of them will eat. I've also tried them on venison and beef, but they don't like it very much. I just recently bought one male and two female mice to start breeding them to feed to my ferrets. I'm pretty excited, because the females are already pregnant and I've been wanting to try the kids on pinkies pretty bad. I think at least Daemeon and Evelyn will go for them. Salem and Gwen are picky eaters. Right now they eat a mix of Evo Red Meat Bites and Chicken Soup for the Kitten Lover's Soul, and they do real well on it. I am not ready to start a raw/whole prey diet, but want to supplement them with it. Anyways, glad to be a new member here.

Hi and Welcome Morgan Sounds like your off to a great start:) Please feel free to prowl and read and ask questions. They're a fantastic group here and there is always someone who's prowling around that will be willing to give you a hand or point you in the right direction or space to post your questions or comments. If you need a hand finding ideas to help your furkid get the right idea about various munchings and crunchings they should or could be eating take a look at the mentors section in the raw feeding space. I hope I will see you around. ciao

Well hello dahling! Thank you everyone for your warm welcomes. My new breeder mice have been doing well, and really like running on their wheel. They were on it all night; I really need to oil that thing!! I've got to get a separate cage set up for my male so he'll leave the poor girls and their future babies alone. lol. Lord, I dunno how soon I can switch to raw completely. I live with 5 other people and I'm afraid they'd eat the ferrets' food! My fiance and I are wanting to move to a new place real soon, and that's when we can really start working on a complete raw switch. I figured now would be a good time though to at least get them to try new things though. I am concerned about being able to switch Salem and Gwen. They are very picky. Thanks again everyone! You will be sure to see more posts from me.
