Ok I know it's very bad to have favorites between you ferrets, but do any of you have a special bond between one of you ferrets? Oliver and I have just (this is going to sound so corny) had that special bond since day one at the pet store. I love Chewie, but Oliver just has that special place in my heart. Oliver cuddles, plays, gives kisses, but is a little brat and must get what he wants (hehe). Where as Chewie is just more "Forget you there's a toy!!" I don't know maybe it's because Chewie beats on Oliver (it may not be Chewie's fault though I guess cause of the adrenal or it could just be the way he is). So am I crazy and rude to have a favorite or do you guys have favorites too ?

Bartleby is my baby son. He is my first ferret, and the others I live with were adopted by Dave before he met me. I love all of them very much, but Bartleby will kiss me any time I ask. He is deaf as a stone, but he just does little things to show he loves me. He trusts me implicitly, will stare up at my face, and just knows I love him so much.
Up until a couple of weeks ago, Bartleby didn't even kiss Dave, and he has been living with him for over a year now! Bartleby knows he's #1 in my heart, and he knows I will cease to function if something bad happens to him.

For me, I'd have to say Vincent. He's my cuddle boy. He's also my shadow ferret. When he's lying at my feet looking up at me, my heart just melts.

i only have one ferret.. but between him and allllll the cats... Pumpkin is just my favorite little lover dont get me wrong beast IS the best ferret imo but he cannot take the place of pumpkin =x pumpkin is my huuuuuuuuge orange/red cat and he makes evvvvvverything better i mean i just couldnt live without him which is why when i finally get financially independent i will be taking all four cats because punkerdoodle has bonded with gwenivere and gwenivere has bonded with booger and booger bonded with beast and gracie so of course i cant separate them =P

Deff adam, my first ferret. Don't get me wrong I love the others and my dad had a ferret when i was in my early teens. He was a good ferret and even slept curled up with my kitten but it's different when you get them yourself.

Apple is mine, he was my first so naturally we had a few months alone together to really bond. But when he was getting sick I was practically in tears more than a few times, watching him do nothing and sleep and not eat. But he will occasionally sleep on me (if I trick him) and will easily cuddle with me. Kiwi I love her, but she is so bouncy and can't sit still for a minute though I love putting her on my shoulders and walking her all over the place.

i am wondering if the ratio of white ferrets being affectionate is higher than the browns...? this is what i was told at the pet store and by other friends who have a lot of ferret experience, that the albinos are very sweet and have the nicest personalities. i know for sure zero was the mellowest and sweetest of the batch we picked from.

I don't agree. Kiwi is a DEW and she is incredibly bouncy and never sits still, and really not all that affectionate. Apple is my sable and he will let me hold him and give him a good head massage for a few minutes and he just loves it. Actually, neither of mine are mellow, but Apple is more cuddly.

Weezer is my baby. I can hold him and he won't want to leave, he LOVES plaving with me. I walk around and pretend to kick him and he war dances and grabs my feet... When I go in the room and he is out he comes up to me and begs for attention.. Lilly and Ravi on the other hand are always high strung and really don't want to be cuddled.

Matilda was my first and will always always be my special girl. i walked into the pet store and our eyes literally met. it was instantaneous. our bond started from the moment i walked in. all the other fuzzies didnt notice me come in but she did. she knew i was meant for her.
i asked the clerk if i could pick her up, i did and she crawled into the hood of my hoodie , snuggled up to my neck and gave me kisses.
we were meant for each other. any of my roommates can call her and she will look at them with the "yeah right" glance. all i have to do is look at her and she will come to me.
also when she wants to be picked up she will come over and dance around me and touch my leg. then when i extend my hand to her she holds on to me as i pull her up. I love my silly tilly soooooooo much.
