Hi, My Name is Liz. I am a licensed vet tech, who has four pets. two cats and two ferrets. i like to do out door stuff like camping, bike riding, as well as hanging out with my friends, sewing, watching movies, reading books, and playing games.
My frist ferret was an amazing little character. His name was otter and he came from a pet store. he was a sweet little ferret and extremly devoted to me. Got got sick and died after suffering a few days in my arms. My vet said that he probbaly had pnemonia and it was too far gone before i got him meds. His death was very sad.
The next ferret worth mentioning was named teddy bear. I rescued him from a lady that kept him in a cage his whole life. He was bonded to me as well. he was a big boy weighing between 3 and 5 pounds. he was over a year when i got him and after being with me two weeks he stoped eating and had a horrible fever. i took him to work and the vet put him on antibiotics. i als ogave him food by syringe. after a few days he started to get better. but that was not the case as i came home from work on saturday and he was cold as ice. i had a necropsy done at it turns out my poor teddy had ruptured his spleen.
Now on to the ferrets i have now. Nilla was first. i found her in a park 3 weeks ago. she was extremely thin! but she is gaining weight. she is white but not albino. I've had mocha my dark sabel ferret a week. she needed to be rehomed as her pervious owner no longer wanted her. so i went to pick her up as Nilla needed a friend. The two girls are both best buddies from day one. They are both sweet girls. i want to feed them what ever is best for them and will help them gain weight as they are both too thin. they have no underlaying medical conditions, as i took them to work with me to see the vet.
