So yesterday Chewie went to the vet!!! Yes we made it in time! We ended up going to the Great Falls Animal Hospital. They are amazing!! They do not only know about raw and whole prey, they say it's the best diet (gave me a packet about before I filled out the forms), and know a ton about it!!!! I was EXTATIC!! I told her about this forum and how great you guys are and what I feed Chewie. She was really excited that I fed him raw!! Anyways she confirmed that the most likely thing Chewie has is adrenal. So we talked about the options and she said since we can't be sure of his age to go with lupron. So Chewie got his first does yesterday!!! I am so excited to see the results. She said it takes about 3-6 monthes to see results?? I thought it was shorter, but I'm not sure...Well just wanted to update you guys!!!

Glad you found a wonderful vet, and wow, they believe in raw!!!! I take it this is not the original vet you went to. Hopefully the Lupron will take care of the problem for a while. congrats!!!

That's great news! Your so lucky to have found a raw supporting vet!
As for the results taking the 3 to 6 months that is probably how long it will take for him to change apperance wise, his other problems will probably improve much quicker.

The lupron usually takes less than 3-6months. In fact, drug works ion the pituitary gland right away. But the symptoms may take longer to subside. For example, a coat chnge may be required to see fur grow back,. Many times, this is not the case, and fur grows sooner.
