How old is Timmy? What type of kidney problems does he have? Renal failure? What does Timmy currently eat? Does he eat any duk soup? Is Timmy insulinomic?
I think we might be able to help Timmy out by tweaking his diet a bit. We don't even have to do a full blown diet conversion, but something as simple as replacing his regular duk soup (if he eats any) with a RAW version of duk soup can help to balance out some of his issues.
I'm going to grab Heather and Jennifer. I think they might be able to offer some advice on natural supplemental treatment for your little ones. Hopefully we can get some stuff going in addition to their treatments from your vet that can help to compliment the treatments and increase the healing results.
As for Cowboy, is he on prednisone or prednilisone? What is HE currently eating?
Im so sorry to hear about Snoopy, and Cowboy, and Timmy. They will be in my thoughts, Sue, as will you.

Timmy is 3 yrs old now, he is one of my paralized kids he has a broken back and crawls with his front legs he was attact by a dog last year and they brought him in to have him put to sleep but instead after they signed the papaers that vet turnd and called my vet and hes been with me every sence, yes he eats duck soup like a horse he loves his soupies, his urin tract infections and kidneys are due from being on the floor crawling i think i have to help him pee a couple times a day or it will build up and hurt him.
Cow with Insulioma he had surgey for it a couple 3 months ago and has had it now for 6 months hes another duck soup hog, and he is on predillione Liq o.5 noiw twice a day hes 6 and ahalf yrs old now and is one of my personal ferrets, i got him when he was a baby kit

Hang in there Sue. You do a wonderful thing for these babies. Unfortunately the ones you have are ill so you may not be able to spend as long with them, but they know real love before they leave. And dont start picking on timmy again...LOL

I personally would try supplementing with raw food, but that's just me. You've got nothing to loose and everything to gain. The urinary tract infections are probably caused by inefficient emptying of the bladder. That's neither your fault nor his, a certain amount of damage is done every time you manually express his bladder. Can you get a catheter inserted so that his bladder will empty entirely? Is he dribbling urine at all? Perhaps, this could be part of the reason for his sore thingy, and surrounding areas. Does he have mouth ulcers? This is often the result of chronic kidney failure. How is his appetite? Does he seek out heat? Very thirsty? Tense..yes or no? Friendly? Your little one with the insulinoma would benefit from raw as it is easier to assimilate and regulates blood sugars far better than kibbles which cause spikes and valleys. One of the problems that I found with little Zena was if she didn't eat or was late (sleeping too long) she would feel nauseaus and then didn't want to eat. If I didn't pick up on her not eating then she would crash. I gather your feeding this little one regularly with duk soup right? If you could get him to eat some raw in his duk soup, you might be able to get him to last longer and crash less, but there are no promises. I wish I could offer something concrete that would fix your furbabies. I found that a raw diet helped my furbabies, it may have given them more time. I have no proof. I will light a healing candle for your furbabies.' ciao

One thing that can help with bladder infection is cranberry. Cranberry sets up an acidic environment in the bladder which makes it more difficult for bacteria to adhere to the bladder wall. Also make sure your little guy is getting lots of water - it helps flush bacteria.
Concentrated cranberry can be purchased in capsule form in stores that sell supplements - the brand I prefer is Cranactin. I ve give about a quarter of a the capsule (a pinch) in the morning and also in the evening.
An irritated thingy could possibly be related to other issues, such as appocine cyste or other issues. If this continues, you should have your ferret examed by a ferret vet.

If any of the problem is indeed caused by him dragging himself on the floor, is there any way you could get him some kind of ferret tshirts, extra long, to cover his underside? Just a thought...
