Hey Sue, welcome to the group I'm excited to have you, you are the first shelter mom to join our forum! I hope you make yourself at home here, we are a friendly bunch and if you ever need anything, just ask! I'd like to add the name of your rescue under your username, what is the official name of your shelter? As for Sams, that was my baby. He passed away and it just really upset me. It was so unexpected. He was the first ferret that I ever lost. Thank you so much for your kind words. It really means alot.

Well you are in luck if you are interested in adding raw foods to your sick kids diet. We have a member here named Heather, she runs a private ferret rescue in Canada and has been feeding raw for 10+ years. She has experience feeding raw in a shelter setting and has dealt with various ferret illnesses while feeding a raw diet. I'm sure she'll pop in and say hello.

Hi Sue Welcome, it seems I'm a little behind on my welcomes...oops Anyway, better late than never . I run a small private rescue and sanctuary up in Canada. All the furbabies that come into my place are allowed to stay here...I'm their last stop...their forever home. We don't get a lot so I can do that. I hope that you have a great time prowling through the various posts. Please feel free to ask questions, everyone here is fantastic ciao

Welcome to the forum and SOOOO much for doing what you do. Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. I'm not sure I'm a strong enough person to be able to handle hospice kids. There needs to be more people like you in the world.
