Evo Feline and Evo Ferret are the same thing, so pick Feline because its cheaper. Evo Small Red Meat Bites is also a good food. You can sometimes get those from smaller pet stores. Stay away from most canned foods. They might have higher moisture, but that moisture is bad for their teeth. It just builds up the plaque and it doesn't get cleaned off. It is ok to go to with Evo Canned 95% meat as an occasional treat though. It should not be the main diet. To help with plaque, use N Bones, most ferrets love them, or Dogswell jerky treats. They should be the 100% meat ones, perfectly fine for your ferret. You can contact Dogswell and ask for free samples. They give a lot of samples! Don't worry that there are some with those extra few ingredients, as long as it is 100% chicken, duck, beef, etc it is ok. Do not feed the ones with the fruit unless you can pull it apart. POgOs are also great treats, freeze dried calamari, rabbit, or mouse. Some good dehydrated foods are Stella & Chewy's freeze dried steaks. They are fantastic and my Apple loves them! They are a complete meal, so they can be fed alone. Ziwipeak is also a freeze dried food, pure lamb or venison, and then there is also a fish variety. The lamb is working out for me now, you can also contact Ziwipeak for a free sample, just Contact Us tab. www.stinkweasels.com has a flat rate shipping plus good prices

Just curious, but why no other web sites? I would go with EVO if you need kibble and supplement with freeze-dried

Mine are being switched to EVO right now so at least they are on a grain free diet until I can try to switch to raw again. (financial issues, I am out of work) Did you use the store locator on the evo website? Pear said EVO ferret and cat/kitten variety IS the same exact thing. Try using the store locator. If no luck then try to talk to a pet store and see if they will order in the EVO for you. Here is the site www.evopet.com/EDIT: Like I said to you before the frozen raw (natures variety) I very bad to feed ferrets because it has pumpkin seeds which can cause a blockage. You would WANT to feed the frozen raw. That would be the BEST choice if you cannot get EVO

EDIT: Like I said to you before the frozen raw (natures variety) I very bad to feed ferrets because it has pumpkin seeds which can cause a blockage. You would WANT to feed the frozen raw. That would be the BEST choice if you cannot get EVO No, the Nature's Variety Frozen RAW is fine!! There aren't any whole pumpkin seeds in that mix. It is the Nature's Variety FREEZE DRIED that you want to skip. That has large whole pumpkin seeds that can cause blockages. I feed NV Frozen Raw and it works great, its not too expensive, for me its about $17 for 40 medallions (feeding 2 ferrets 2-3 medallions at once), but someone else found a bag for $13 for 40 medallions! Also, my 2 bags are lasting me a few months! Its not expensive, you can buy 2-3 different variesties and then just rotate which day you feed them. Right now I am feeding the rabbit and lamb, soon adding venison and beef. There is also chicken to choose from, and you can usually find these at regular pet stores. Also, there is a BOGO free coupon that I can find for you if you are interested.

I don't think Zupreem is fantastic because I think it has brown rice as like the 3rd ingredient or something. I would skip it. Evo Feline should be at some of the smaller pet stores, like something local, not the big chains.

Another good kibble is Wellness Core kitten/cat food 50% protein, no grains, low carb. You may be able to find this locally along with the EVO Cat food.
Freeze-dried raw is dry food, but it's not cheap. I's a an excellent option (no starches) if you can get away with it. Yes, it's expesive, but you can replace some of the kibble with freeze-dried raw and feed the two together mixed in the same bowl. Since it's dry, it doesn't need to be tossed daily. In fact, I've put out enough wysong to last for over a week with no trouble at all. No waste - it all got eaten!

I wouldn't really recommend the Zupreem. Wellness core is a good option as well. But I find that it really reeks bad I got a free sample of it last year when i was researching better kibble options. Not even Loki would touch it and she will eat ANY kind of free sample i get as a treat. I looked at prices and it cost 20.99 plus shipping for a 5 pound 14 oz bag of it. It cost 15.67 plus 7.99 shipping for the EVO cat. I found a place to buy it locally and it saves me a few bux. The EVO may be cheaper for you than the wellness core. Go here and in the black tool bar towards the middle click where to buy. Type in your zip code and then it will show the address's and phone numbers of places that carry EVO PRODUCTS then next step is to call the store and find out if the carry EVO cat and kitten or EVO ferret. The are basically the exact same thing but the cat is usually cheaper by a dollar or so. www.evopet.com/where-to-buy/default.asp I hope you can get them on a high quality kibble.

I feed mine a mix of EVO and ZiwiPeak and every now and then I try to throw in some Wysong. Mine also get some of the freeze dried foods/treats from stinkweasels.com. My ferrets have also had Wellness CORE in the past and liked that. Amazon.com sells all of those food brands, but stinkweasels has them cheaper (except the Wellness CORE, which he doesn't sell).

Any Petland should carry the Evo cat food, I just bought some at one for my cat today. They should also carry the dog food and the 95% canned meats, I saw them there as well. They also carry several other very good options. I was sneakily doing research while trying desperately not to fall in love with the 3 ferrets currently in the store. It didn't really work. I desperately want the 2 girls and the darling little boy

Well you may need to close off access to your bed, mine climb up into the springs and I almost sat on Kiwi. Thats the biggest problem I have, but they are only allowed in my room for special occasions, so I don't have to deal with it much.
