Hey, ya'll. I'm Donna. I'm 16 years old... I'm kindof new to the Ferret thing. I got my baby a couple of months ago. I got him from a lady who said if her son wanted to buy one, He had to neuter him, and have his scent glands removed. He's a wonderful boy for being the dedicated to him! But, Alas, He turned into a "teenager" and hadn't played with him in a lengthy amount of time(2+ Months). I was very mad at him because Ferrets aren't cage animals, and they need a few hours a day of play time. I got my Ferret from him, his name was "fert"... ok.. a lil weird ... But a few days here and he got a new name! Zaphod! He's a sweety... He loves to eat ferret food, but he also loves his "sweet" treats.. I know it's probably bad, but I do brush his teeth so it's fine, I give him PEPSI! He loves it... But recently I've found out.. He loves to eat baby rats... live, lol. This is my little introduction...Thought it doesn't seem like it, lolZaphod on my blanket.
He loves going outside. hehe

Welcome to the list. Feel free to prowl read and ask questions. They're a friendly lot who are more than happy to help you keep your furbaby healthy and happy. It's too bad that your furbaby didn't get the best home to start with but now he's got you to look out for him.
Could I make some suggestions for you? Pepsi isn't good for you (I know because I drink it all the time ) but it could cause serious health problems down the way for your furbaby, same as the sweets or fruits...sorry That being said you're already on the way to feeding an absolutely awesome prey diet. Pop into the raw section and read about all the really fantastic eats and treats that your baby could be having that would help him live longer and healthier

Hehe, Yeah I know pepsi isn't good for him. I already knew about the fruits, same with veggies. I was going ferret food shopping one time, and I went to buy this one bag... Forgot the brand/company... But they oh-so-proudly advertised that it had plenty of vegitables in they're kibble so it's better for them! I giggled a little inside because I knew different, lol ;D
