Hey as the title suggests this has to do with two of Rambo's nails. On his back foot there are these pain in the but nails that are growing funny, they have been this way since i got him, one has got a little bit better. Anyway, i need to know what can be done to help fix this because trimming them is difficult.
One is to wide and looks as if another nail is trying to grow under it...kinda feels like a rough patch of skin. The other one is just wrong, it looks upside down and growing in a spiral. Thankfully they dont cause any pain in walking, that i can see anyway. They both are to think to see the quick so i just snip the sharp tips off.
When i got him home the first time his nails were a big problem because they hung on the carpet constantly.
Anyone know what could be up with my FuzzyNutkin? ;D

I suck at visualizing things. Do you happen to have a picture (or could you get one)?

Was he/is he ckept in a cage with a wire floor? This can cause bizzarre nails and lead to foot deformities. Also, If nails are never trimmed and the ferret has no way of wearing them down (like from natural activities - diggind in dirt, etc), nails can get funky. -jennifer

I will try to get a picture up soon for everyone. When he was in the pet store his nails were like that but they dont keep them in wire cages and neither do i.
