Hi Everyone.
I'm sure a lot of you are from forum.ferret.com but I'll introduce myself to those of you that don't know me..
My name is Krissy, I'm a vet tech, and I live in Seattle in a house with my roomy (who I've known for ten years) Kyna, her american curl cat Crosby, my BF Zach, our mini aussie Shadow, and our business of 4.
About our 4:
2 male, 2 female.
Male 1: our alpha and HUGE boy Khadgar. He's a panda, and is about 1yo. He came with Jaina. He's very hard to handle and we're working on that. I've had him for 5months ish.
Female 1: Our larger girl, Jaina. She's a total sweety. Traditional sable mask, and her past-time is bra stealing. (She likes to climb into my dresser and take them.) She's bonded to Khadgar. She's also about a year.
Male 2: Arthas. My lovebug. 2+yo. He came to me a month ago with Onyxia (as a note, I renamed all of my ferts when I adopted them.) and has since decided that he doesn't like ANY other fuzzies. Including Onyxia. He likes to lounge on my shoulder while I'm doing chores about the house. He also likes to chase the laser pointer. He's ill currently, and has been keeping me busy. He's a sable as well but his mask is a lighter color, and not as distinct as Jaina.
Female 2: Onyxia. She's my silver pipsqueak. She's 3. She likes to sleep underneath Khadgar. (But not next to.) She gives kisses, and is very cautious.
I'm at work right now so I don't have a lot of time left..
But I will say we've been having probs with raw. None of my kids like duk soup. They also don't like treats, except nutri-cal.
So we're on a kibble diet right now. (But I AM trying to switch.)
As I've said on the other forum, I've tried many diff types of foods, and in raw or cooked form as well. A co-worker has a fert who loves boiled chicken, which is why I tried cooked a few times.
I'm not opposed to trying a prey diet, once I get them to switch over to raw. I worked at a zoo for 7 years and most of the animals there were on whole-prey so that's not an issue for me. (It will be for my bf, but he understands the reasons behind it so as long as *I* feed the ferts we're fine.)
I also have a tendancy to ramble...
And my lunch break ends in two minutes so I'm going to end this post now. Pics will follow this evenin.
