Hi! My name is Heather. I have 7 personal ferrets, 2 permenant fosters, & may begin to foster ferrets to rehab for rehoming for WSFR. (I will beging volunteering at the rescue after my training on Feb 1st.)
I also have two German Sheperds & a cat.
I am born & raised Washintonian (the state), & I love it here. I currently live north of Seattle. I did enjoy the time I lived in Colorado, but WA is home. I adopted 2 of mine from a rescue, my first private bred is from a girl who has a rescue but also breeds for people who want late alter ferrets.I have a beautiful champagne I found on CL (Craigslist). I flew to NC to get two babies from GFX, & she also had a NB hob that a WA breeder brought back for me a couple months later.
I feed some raw/whole prey to my ferrets, the three from GFX are fed raw & whole prey, and so is my boy from CL, so I will keeping them on it, along with the high quality kibble available at all times, & I will be working on introducing raw/whole prey to my other fuzzies.
I have started a feeder mouse colony for my ferrets, & will probably give some to my cat too.
I have learned SO MUCH more since the first time I had ferrets, about 16 years ago, & I am still learning...I hope to use what I learn to help educate others.
