Doesn't anyone live in my part of Ohio?!

Hi guys.

I'm looking for more friends. It may sound lame, but my friend base was just cut in half. Actually I now have perhaps a 1/4 of the friends I had last week. I'm not looking for anything crazy, its just most of my friends are through these ferret forums, and you guys are only real on the computer. (No offense) I need people to talk to and hang out with. I don't want to seem pathetic, but I'm at a low point....check the avatar...I am now single.

I'm not going to relive all the details here, I mean its only day 2. But that was a 3 year relationship, well 3 years on Sept 10. That day will really suck. And I'm trying to stay busy. I have the whole weekend planned so I won't be able to just stop doing anything to start thinking.

Tonight I am cleaning up my apartment. Playing with the ferrets, though just looking at that cage makes me want to cry. I am so sick of crying!!! I cried all day yesterday! Before work, at work, after work, out to dinner, having another drink at my friend's place. Oh and then on like 5 phones calls.

I don't have to worry about smelly litter box anymore. It only smells to me if I stick my face in there, its not something I do often you know!

Sigh...So I started this thread in search of people who live near me. I live in Dayton, OH, I'd like to up my friend base and start hanging out with new people. I love to talk with most of you on this forum, but it doesn't take away my need for social interaction. I love to go out and go new places...anyone live by me??

I met a ferret friend right in my neighborhood on craigslist. Just post in the pets section saying you want to meet new ferret owners.

If you're looking for people who don't own ferrets, it may be a little harder unless you like to socialize with coworkers or want to start taking a class in something.

I never thought to check on Craigslist for new people. I just want a new group of people to hang out with! Or to join to my other friends.

I'm checking the Strickly Platonic section of Craigslist now. Whats w4w mean?! LOL I don't know!! Either way, interesting choices. Maybe I will just post in the pets section, I'm scared to reply to any of these people.

I'm going to laugh my butt off if you try to make a "friend" off craigslist and you go to meet this person and you wind up with a trans-gender prostitute (lol I figured you could use a laugh Hang in there girly).

I only tried the platonic section of CL once before I moved to Chicago. The girl and I talked for a little, but we were so incompatible that I stopped communication and we never met.

Well I ended up replying to the only one that wasn't "drink...smoke...be friends...then maybe more..." Ummm HELLO! It says PLATONIC!

Anyway, I found someone who is a teacher and she's my age, and in like the same situation as me except for the recent breakup.

I'm going out tonight in like 2 hours to start drinking. Yes its early, its happy hour! But I'm excited, I can't keep sitting at my place alone, and sadly it saddens me to play with the ferrets right now. Good thing they love plastic bags, or else there'd be problems!

I hate feeling alone and waiting for things to get better. And everything happens for a reason....blah blah blah! Its just so frustrating!!!!

Sometimes when I am home alone, and Dave has been out of town all week, I get bored and sad and try to play with the ferrets, but they are too busy to bother with mommy, so I understand how it can sadden you.

I wish we were a bit closer! I live in N Ky about 10min from Cincinnati. That would be an hour to an hour and a half drive . Being a 27 year old stay at home mom kinda puts a damper of the friends. All my old friend are just getting married. Maybe we can get together one weekend.

LOL Thats great you 2. I have been "forcing" myself on my friends this week.

However, I am in much higher spirits than I was just a few days ago. So things are looking up, however not even close ready to date and still rather lonely. So many things have happened in the past few days, all things I want to share with him. So that really sucks.

But its nice to have my friends back, the ones I had before but now we are going to be much closer. Now that I am doing Dayton the way I wanted to back in January, I just wish I would have done that this whole time. May have saved some heartache, but I don't really know. And I refuse to ask!!

I got more closure today. Went to his place for the drop off/pick up of the stuff. We had a 30-45mins chat. Then hung out with his housemate and girlf later, and they told me that he is sad and he is bummed whether or not he really shows it. I don't feel good that he is sad, just happy he doesn't think these past 3 years were so trivial, which is how his actions/words were making me feel. So I feel better.



On to the rest, yes, every now and then I make it to Newport, KY to the Hofbrauhaus for party time. Perhaps we could meet there one weekend, I don't know when I will be there next, everything is up in the air now that I am a me, not a we. But still, lets do it!!
