So I realized something back when I got my first ferret was that she presented with seasonal allergies it seemed like, which the vet said that was what it probably was or from using chemical cleaners. This made me change my laundry detergent to organic as well as my daily cleaning products. This actually helped my little girl alot, though now I have a new problem with my little boy...
It seems (now I could be paranoid, haha) that he has puffyness and redness around his eyes, like allergies, but it hasnt gone away its just stayed the same. He's a dark eyed white so redness I can pick out easier, but he has had no drainage, leaking, crusting, tearing....nothing! I've noticed it probably about a month or 2 ago and figured it was allergies plus the vet had nothing to say about it really (though I dont trust vets all the time because ferrets can be tricky to diagnose for some, and symptoms can sometimes be overlooked, imo).
I guess my question is if anyone has had this issue with any of their ferrets, or has any insight.

From what I have heard, allergies in ferret is extremely rare, but not impossible. I will try to look up more info on this topic and will post as soon as I find something. in the mean time, hopefully someone can post some useful info/advice/insight.
BTW- How are your kiddos doing with the diet switch? (dont post your answer here, but instead post in your update thread in the nutrition section. Thanks).

I think Penny's allergies were from the detergent I would wash their blankets in and the cleaning solution I would use on the floor to clean their "ooops's", because when I switch all these products her "allergies" went away, so Im guessing it was just irritants that she was just sensitive to.
Boomer doesnt seem to be affected by his eyes at all, but I still dont think they look right (they look red and puffy, but moderately not severely). I have looked up this condition everywhere and have yet to find something! I mean he does itch his face but I dont think its an unnatural itch, and since he doesnt have any sort of drainage I feel like hes alright. He is growing up (1 year bday in 7 days!) so maybe this could just be natural aging for him?
