My ferret's name is Mouse. I have had her since the beginning of this year and she has been on raw since the day she came home. She is potty trained and crazy in the head. My dogs are the same size as her and sometimes they have to just run away from her when she loses her mind. Mouse is a riot though and we get lots of laughs from her antics. Her cage is a FN 142. I look forward to learning more about caring for my ferret in a more natural manner (just like my dogs, but not like me)...  Here is a picture of her when she was younger and would sleep hard. I put her in her dish and took a picture while she remained asleep. |

Hello! Welcome to the forum! Good for you to get your little girl started out on the right foot! When you say she's been on raw= do you mean a natural diet of raw meaty bones? Or just raw meats? Will you be venturing in to whole prey? Any chance she'll be offered the chance to make a meal from her namesake? What has been on her diet so far?

I am switching back but slowly so I don't feel overwhelmed. I won't be doing whole prey because it makes me squeamish in the given circumstances. She has been offered a mouse before...lol It was really gross when I had to clean it out so no more since. I posted on the newbie forums to get back on track again. |
