I THINK he's doing better. He is still drinking and he defecated 3 times. all three were loose and the first 1 was light brown and the next 2 were almost black, which scared me about internal bleeding but when i got it out to examine it it stained a tissue green, and my mom said it didnt look like her poop when she was bleeding internally. he stopped shaking, he's a little more active, although he can't walk very well even though the big bandage is off (the vet took it off this morning and just bandaged the portion still bleeding) and hes eating more. he has a new mix of beef baby food, nutracal, ferretone, and mashed kibble and he'll only eat off a baby spoon but I dont mind feeding him so long as he eats. He is one swollen little baby, but the vet said the swelling, bruising, and walking problems are unusual but do happen. The reason i didnt take him back in was that the vet made a big point of not putting him thru too much more stress or it could push him over the edge. I wanted to have his sister provide a blood transfusion, but the vet said he doesnt need it yet and she might have the same clotting problem he does. I want to look into replacement hormones for her as a preventative because the odds say she's almost definitly going to get it. I have my mom and her boyfriend on ferret patrol making sure he's breathing so I can take a shower. I had them on earlier too so I could sleep so I could stay up all night with him again tonight. I told them if anything happened to him and they didnt know right away so I could help him I'd teach them the meaning of hate and pain lol. Im not positive he's urinating-how can you tell? I sifted thru the litter box and it looked normal. I use Yesterday's News so maybe it isnt as obvious since it doesnt clump. I'm going to compare it to Keawea's box in a minute. Thats the great thing about 2 ferrets when one is sick-you have a standard to compare it to. This may sound crazy, but if he needs blood, should I buy another ferret to give blood so it wouldnt have the same clotting issues? I would still keep it as a pet afterward, but I dont know anyone else with ferrets that I could ask to donate fuzzy blood. I wish I could just gve him blood if he needed it. As scared as I am of needles i would do it for him. I'm a little less scared now, but I'm still not giving up having someone sit with him 24/7. I figure if I do it from about 11pm to about 2 pm they can cover him the other 7 hours. I was supposed to go to senior open house today but oh well...
EDIT: my mom caught him peeing so I know he's doing that
