Ok, so I know the raw based on whole prey model is 60% RMB's, 30% muscle meat, and 10% organ meat, but how would you do this daily instead of weekly? Once we are ready to switch them, I would like to present the model daily. Is it better to do it weekly or daily, or is it a personal preference? If done daily, would you give one type of animal meat and organs a week (ie chicken one week, lamb the next?) or mix it up daily (which would mean you had several different types of animal meat in your freezer)?

The natural diet is a diet that is balanced over time- it doesn't try to offer a totally balanced complete diet in each meal. So with that in mind If you offer a variety of meaty bones/organs & prey sources through the week your ferrets will do best.
Keep in mind that we are trying to emulate a natural diet of our ferret's most likely closest relative that they descended from~ the european polecat. These little carnivores trek across great expanses of territory seeking prey.
They'll eat a wide variety of prey during their treks. ANd some days will offer more successful hunting than others.
A rabbit and a cornish game hen will yield several meals, which works nicely if you have several ferrets to feed. But if only feeding one or two - I wouldn't feed JUST the prey source all week. I'd offer several different prey source choices.
After our recent forum discussion regarding taurine and its degradation by freezing, I decided to offer my ferrets the equivalent of one chicken heart every day. So they each get a chicken heart, or I'll cut up a turkey heart and treat them with this. I look at is being something they would get if they had caught their prey source. They love the hearts too!
Liver I offer freeze dried, as they don't care for it fresh raw. They get this once or twice a week.
So I think its best if you mix up the prey sourcesthrough the week but still keep it geared as if they were eating a whole animal.
Divvying up your original grocery purchases into ziploc baggies as one or two meals per bag will make it easy when planning as well as storing and thawing.
Cheers, Kim

If you are wanting to feed a prey model daily you will need to calculate approx how many ounces of food your ferret consumes each day. Then you would divide that by 60,30, and 10 percent and feed the corresponding ounces of food for rmb/mm/organ.
Most people feed the percentages over the course of a week. You can do it daily but it can be a bit more tricky.
