I may have posted this in the wrong secton but George has a huge scab on his back near his shoulders. I dont think he could have bitten himself as he cant get his head to it, they play fight quite bad so im thinking maybe Zippy did it to him? He doesnt have fleas either. Also anything i can put on it i have been cleaning it with cooled boiled water

Can you get a picture of it?
I always use 10% iodine on any injuries the dogs have but I'm not sure if it is okay for ferrets.

SHould be OK. My vet always has me clean wounds with hydrogen peroxide on my ferts. If it gets red and/or looks like it may be infecting, bacitracin ointment works well since it covers the most common skin bacteria (staph and strep). Plus it's less likely to cause allergic reaction than neosprin and some of the other antibiotic ointments. -jennifer

I have just been watching them playing and Zippy goes right for that spot so now im thinking he did it. I obviously dont want him making George worse...what should i do?

Try to keep them separate for awhile if you think Zippy is making it worse. If you use the Bacitracin on it, its going to heal fast. I used that when Kiwi had an awful scrape on her knee and after cleaning it with hydrogen peroxide and using the Bacitracin just twice it healed rapidly! Try to clean it and apply the Bacitracin about twice a day, I did it morning and night and it was gone a few days later. It won't be horrible if they can't rough play for a few days.
Also, you could try putting something that tastes bad on the back of George's neck for awhile to keep Zippy away.

Bacitracin is kinda like the generic form of Neosporin which is a brand. What you need is an antibacterial ointment. We get it in the pharmacy section of the grocery store, so go wherever you would find aspirin and stuff for cleaning out cuts.
