 Hi I am owned by 9 ferrets. I have one that is from a private breeder. One that is blind and one that is adrenal. Five that are rescues and one that i bought from petsmart (i couldnt resit him sorry). They have been raw feed for about the last 2 years. Mine get chicken and whole prey. I also have 3 dogs and a cat. I am mommy to two girls ages 4 and 5 and my 22 year old stepson that lives with us. i am a sahm but do all the paper work for both of my husbands business. The fuzzies are: Freedom:(about 3)she came with my hubby and started my love of ferrets. She is our adrenal ferret Fatty and Snowy:(about 3) brother and sister pair that we rescued from a teenager that didnt know what to do with them. Fatty is our blind ferret, not really sure why he went blind. Tigger and Tootsie:(about 3) got her from a lady who rescued ferrets and needed to rehome some. Tigger is our big baby that can never wait for his next meal. Tootsie is mommy to all and likes to clean me when i am watchng tv. Reily: (1)We found him on CL from a young lady who had bought him and then found out that she had allergies. He came to our home as baby and is our biggest one. Since he is an albino we joke that his father was a polar bear. Crash: (1) This is the one that i bought from the pet strore. he just looked so cute and i could not help myself. Zues and Xena: (Zues is about 3 and Xena has passed) We also got these two off of CL and when we picked them up i thought we had just adopted two dying ferrets, thats how bad they looked. After cleaning them up and getting them switched ower to raw we saw a vast improvment in them both. Saddly Xena passed after being with us less then a year. The vet believes it was kidney failure. Hydra: (1) She is from a private breeder and has polecat in her. She is our pride and enjoy. it is amazing at who she is able to do that the others cant do.

Hi Jas!
I have a 5.5 adrenal ferret and an 8.5 year old blind (and I think deaf) ferret which we are fostering from the local shelter. I understand how 1 or 2 fuzzies turn into 6, or 7, or 12 real fast!

Hydra's a Hillcrest ferret, right? I'm so jealous!! Hubby and I really
wanted (and still do) one but just couldn't swing it now (space, finances, etc.). Our babies are all pet shop rescues for now....
Glad to see you're over here in HFF, too!

yes Hydra is a Hillcrest ferret. We were hoping to get a male from her this year but that might not happen so we might have to wait till next year. Hubby wants the male really badly. ;D |

Welcome! I have a Zeus & a Zena too! Zena has a little polecat in her (from a small breeder here in WA state).
I recently adopted 2 GFX babies, & I have a NB male that I am getting from GFX, who will be coming home the end of June. =)

Glad to meet you. You have a beautiful group of ferrets. I just recently bought a baby at the pet store, much like you. He was staring me down and had the most amazing face. I usually stay away from the ferret area....LOL Look forward to learning from your raw experience with your crew.
