we were asking around at a local pet store for Day old Chicks or pinkies etc... on the off chance they had them for the Birds of prey or reptiles etc...

the response..

NO! We LIKE animals around here.. there's perfectly good ferret food down that isle...

my response.. what do you think goes into ferret food??

Thats a funny story! I see what you mean though, I just met some people who were offended that I feed live mice and actually told me it was illegal in the UK!

The first time that hubby and i went to the local store to buy live food they asked what it was for and when we told them our ferrets the look on the girls face was priceless and she was like..umm but ...um its a ferret they dont know what mice are. we told her ok come to our house and you will see that they know what mice are, even our blind guy Fatty gets his share of the mice.
