New to the forums but not new to ferrets. Hubby and I had ferrets many years ago when we were in college. How many? Back when the internet was very young, when Totally Ferret was a new food, when Deborah Jeans' book was the book to have, when ECE was new and scaring everyone with the severity of it, before ADV showed up. So yeah, over 10 years ago. Hehe now I feel old.
Nowadays we're owned by several pets. 4 cats (3 of which were around when we had ferrets), 2 dogs, and now 2 baby ferrets. It's nice to have the crazy carpet sharks back in our lives. Though I do wonder about me when I pick up a ferret, smell that musky smell, and think how it reminds me of home.

Ahhhh, it can't be a home without them After being away from home the first thing is to grab the nearest fuzzbutt and take a sniff Welcome to the list. There a great bunch of people, jump in and have fun. Tons of information, a lot of things have changed in 10 yrs, makes one feel old but there's nothing like woozles to keep one feeling young ciao

Hi and welcome to the forum
I am looking forward to see your thoughts on how much things have changed since you last had ferts. The internet is a great tool. If it wasn't for me looking for safe toys for Hershey , finding ferret.com and learning about proper diets from Guili's post there. I would have been feeding kibble thinking its the best thing ever being none the wiser .
Hope you have lots of fun here there really is a great group of people here always wiling to help and share there experiences with us.

Hello Menagery! Welcome to the forum! We are always happy to see newbies, er umm oldies, err umm different people here! Some of us here are new to ferrets but not natural ways, some are new to natural ways but not ferrets. But we are all here to exchange ideas and experiences and watch our ferrets become the best they can be!
I imagine diets have changed considerably since you had ferrets before and we take it a step farther in the right direction by moving away from kibbles to offer them natural foods! its a great challenge for some, but the ferrets really do say thank you( when they realize the natural food is NOT poison). Silly ferrets!
Glad to have you here- look forward to exchanging ideas! Cheers, Kim

I too enjoy the sweet smell of ferret musk. You can find me sitting down with my nose buried in a sleepy weasels fur almost any time of the day.
