well i haven't gone to raw yet..but i had a question.. they get soupies everyday..i've been adding hearts and gizzards...and i want to get livers but can't find a store close to me that sells them...ANYWAY...my question... do you guys think that maybe i could start boiling the meat a little less and less with each batch till i'm throwing in raw hearts and gizzards? would that be a good idea? should i also start doing it with the chicken breast? i'm new at this and just thought it might be a way to do it gradually as baby bear acted like i was trying to poison him when i gave him raw last and he is VERY picky in all respects (it took him forever just to eat soup, now he loves it of course). monkey did too but at least monkey did eat the tail of a mouse one time (left the rest, he was just trying to stash it around the house behind furniture so i took it away). as you all know, economy is bad now so my disability check doesn't go as far these days. that's why i thought i'd just start with the soup very slowly..as i can't afford to switch everything just yet (as far as their kibble) and i always buy meat for soup anyway... so, is this a silly idea or something that might work for my situation? also, i'd LOVE if i can get them to start gnawing on chicken wings or necks or something..should i try that instead of altering the soup? thanx for reading.

I think its be fine to boil less, infact maybe you could try 1tbs of raw meat or one raw organ mixed in with their normal serving. I did this last night and they didn't notice anything!

If your babies are used to eating boiled meats, then, yes, you can boil the meats less and less. And like velvetfuzzbutt says, you can add a little ground raw in there too. It probably won't bother them if you chop the meat inoto tiny pieces.
You can alwas offer a section of a wing. I susct they won't be interested until they're eating their soup raw and accepting larger chunkcs of meat. For now, starting with the soup an getting them to accept the soup with uncooked meats is a good place to start. (You'll probably end up with less waste with the soup!
Your plan sounds fine, and you have them eating the soup, so just keep up the good work!
